Sure, once I get narrower rear tires/wheels (10.5" rear wheels don't make for great drifting/burn outs with only 350hp) and a whole bunch more horsepower... But until then

The supercharger, single turbo, or twin turbo kits for the Z are so tempting... Yet so expensive. The TT setup starts at 10k, plus add another 3k in supporting mods... 13k US roughly equals, what, 18k CAN? And that would be me doing all the work

Pay you for what? Wait never mind. Just saw your edit

Hey, I've heard of much dumber reasons for gofundme start ups, which people paid into.

Thanks for the kind posts, fellas. I love my internet fam.
Basically, stomach tumor the size of a large melon burst...Dr pulled a syringe full of her belly's content and it was non-coagulating blood that told him it was likely attached to her spleen, which was a known affliction for her lab genes. He said he'd done 20 exploratory surgeries for this sort of thing in his career and only 3 had survived...based on age and the fact that once it completely bursts the cells are everywhere and more than likely they'll now reappear more aggressively in 3 months from now, the decision was made to let her be peaceful. I cut my work day short, obviously, and headed up...my bro Juan joined us (he was my roommate for 5 years and she was the first dog he'd ever liked) and we held her as she was injected.

In hindsight, it's probably been a long time coming as she seemed less enthusiastic to get up and go outside for the last few months, but for a dog that's always been fat and lazy, it seemed like status quo. What gave it away was the not eating, she's always eaten well...and this week she went from dry food excitement to not even eating a piece of turkey I tried to give her this morning. I know it was going to happen regardless but I can't help but think I helped things a lot...I know it's part of the grieving process to place blame but I feel like FUCK, last night I was trying to play with her and kinda wrestle to get the puppy back into her and maybe I pushed the burst tumor along. This morning, she just was not herself, barely walking, straight to drink a ton of water and labored breathing. I told Betty at 7am, I don't know why I know but today is the day. Only 10 years...I was really hoping I'd outlive her.

I took a few pictures of her last moments with us, but out of respect for her, I'll only post the one of the day I brought her home in 2006. I saw this thing from the moment she breathed her first breath to her last one. She was a special girl and I'll always keep a place in my heart for her. We paid for the private cremation service...so first world of us, and originally I thought it was odd...but did it with Sunny in 2012 and it's nice to know her remains are always near us for some reason. It feels nice to have a little piece of her still.

I'll always love you.

Thanks Adam, I do appreciate that.
Trying very hard to remain upbeat and fun in front of Z...kids absorb that shit and thus far, she has really only seen laughing and playing with the occasional argument with the wife (try to avoid that too).
We'll never have 3 dogs again, it's so much work...but her presence is missed, for sure. I can't believe she's gone.

Thanks brother...I think anyone that's ever loved or lost a dog or maybe even another animal, can relate. If you don't feel, you aren't human.
There's a purity that comes from the love of an animal. You're literally their everything.

Yeah man...and get this, we get Jade (Cujo's dog) the same day I got the S2000 and exactly one day before we found out Z was coming.
PS...saw a slammed Nismo 370 today...I have to say, I was a pretty harsh critic but upon closer inspection, I think it's a really cool car.

Jin is working on some custom suede interior pieces for the first 370...should be cool.

Suede, as in Alcantara? I really don't know what the difference is. I'm pretty sure my Z is full of Alcantara... Steering wheel, door cards, sides of the center console (I'd call it a knee plate, I guess) and seats... But I thought all Zs have the door cards and knee plates... I wonder what he will be making.

I love rubbing the shit out of th steering wheel though... Feels so nice. Debating if next year I should send it to that Yomato guy on here and get him to put CF on where the wheel has leather, so it would be an Alcantara/CF wheel. He's a bit pricey for the wheel though... 1000 bones I think. There was a guy on the Z forums who was making them for 700, but he ended up stopping

I would LOVE to have a flat bottom and a hard surface top portion!
but I don't like spending a lot of money.

Yeah, he said he was doing alcantara stuff to kinda tie into the oem stuff, red and black and all.

I hope you're not talking about turboing the TL... Kind of a waste of money. Very little aftermarket support, lots of custom work needed. It's one thing if you have the tools and know-how. It's another if you're paying a shop. That, and from what I remember, the J35 was prone to exploding under boost. I don't remember what was causing the engine failures, but there was a number of Type S blocks biting the dust too early.

It's nice, but don't kid yourself in thinking you'll be anywhere near a hellcat. Those supercharges don't make a huge amount of power on the TL. Once again, boost issues with the J35... I thought it was the pistons disintegrating, or some shit. A built block ain't cheap either...

Don't waste your money fruitlessly.. buy a V.

The J is not a good platform for FI. The J30 and J32 are more efficient and thus handle boost better. There have been more blown blocks on C/T S/Cs but a couple with turbos.
The blocks under Rodney's turbo builds that failed were pushing the envelope.. big time. They saw more transmission failures than anything. The A/T can barely handle 200 hp.
A built M/T is doable, but it still won't put the power down.. slips like a mother fucker. Only in higher gears will it pull.. like a fucking freight train, but I think it's still borrowed time.
A proper turbo build will cost 5-7k in parts and probably 5k in tuning support.. plus $$ to fix breaks (cheap but time$$$$). It's better to just buy a car that has power / can handle the power.
Bert spent something like 15-20k on his ride.. fuck that mang.

Same reasons. People think you can just throw a C/T S/C in and call it a day. More than a couple of guys who threw a rod out the bottom of the pan / block.
There's a reason C/T stopped supporting the platform. Even with a good piggyback, water/meth, plugs.. tuning is scarce.
Even if you found a reputable shop to do a conservative tune.. there's always a weak link in the chain, nothing better to bring that to the surface than boost.
