Finally was able to get in touch with insurance because they've been swamped lately.
Car has been totalled. I guesstimated $1000~1200 in parts, I was right.

Labor I guesstimated about the same... oh boy. There's like $3500 in labor. Total for repairs is $5000.

Insurance lady hung up, then called me 2 minutes after and asked me since car value is similar to repair value, I wanted to get it repaired instead of totalled. Thx but no thx.



So anyway, what am I buying when summer comes, guise? For now I'll get some gramps car to hold me on.

Insurance offered me to repair the car. But this is the second insurance claim on the car. Resale value would have went down the shitter. I'd rather take whatever they offer me right now (5k or +) than try selling it for 2k next year. I was already thinking of selling it this summer anyway.
