I... I don't think I can answer that question given the topical frame of reference.

You know, that got added to my DIY way after I had buttoned all my shit up without changing THAT o-ring. Luckily, it still never leaked from there after.
I wouldn't doubt it, but you'll need a vise or something hold in place with the screwdriver stopping it from spinning IIRC...

Henry, it's crazy, man...
Love her so much, right now..at 2am last night, when B woke me up...I was like, dafuq did we do?!...
![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
overall though, I already know...I can't ever picture my life without her in it. I used to end the weekends with a smile...cool, nice cars, all clean and waxed, bass goes boom...fixed all the issues, cool wheels. Wife happy...work not bad...watched some movies...had some libations...but there was this slight "there's got to be more", I'm bored feeling that I haven't had the chance to feel anymore. LOL...not gonna get all cheesy but yeah, meaning of life and yada yada.

...today, I text him and told him he was right.
Up until last March...I had big dreams of FI S2000's...TL's on TL's on TL's and maybe another few vehicles...trips to Suisse or anywhere...money to vacation...
I'm 4 days in on 3 hours of daily sleep with probably 20 diaper changes and 1 sponge bath and lots of fucking unstoppable crying and I can tell you guys, that you have no idea. Last Sunday, I still had no idea. But now I do. I love this little ball of shitting, crying, bitching more than I've ever loved anything and I'll fucking kill anyone that tries to hurt her. Can't explain it really...just like I was told before. But now I do.
That said, yesterday after getting home...I cut the grass. Today, after some Daddy chest sleeping time so Mommy could nap...she was in a good mood and B let me go wrench. Got the high pressure ps switch swapped out and tackled the low pressure hose too...
Tomorrow I'll tackle the dash bulb replacements on the S2000...
that said, life presses on and you are still you even with a kid...

Parents are a blessing. Appreciate their presence, because they set on a path to provide for you and love you unconditionally. Through thick and thin, there was a time when you couldn't feed yourself, fend for yourself, or make sense of the world around you. They fed you, protected you, and censored the world so that if there was one thing you ever needed to know was love. Nothing is more real than that, everything else is bullshit.
You don't know, until you know.. how ignorant of us to think words are just words. Truth lives in a vacuum to those who haven't experienced it surround them. J, your journey was real. I'm sure you still hold bonds in your heart. Unless a man has raised another man's kids, they can't understand your journey. Unless you father a child and experience that time you held them and felt something greater than yourself exist, they can't empathize. It's incredible.. you know your experience is not unique, but it's tough to express what you'll continually try to process. A blessing, a miracle, a mystery.. love. What a trip dude..
I've given plenty of advice, but don't take baby time for granted. It comes and goes so fast. Take lots of pictures and video. Write yourself notes about unique experiences you guys have with her. Maybe a cooing sound she makes, or the time your reached out and she grabbed your finger for the first time. Maybe just an ongoing email to yourself with B on copy so she can add to it.

Deep shit Maj
and every single word was on point.
I do that shit my external hard drive is full of pics and videos of both kids. My wife and I also have an email address just for the kids that we send emails to on occasion. We also have a baby book.
Not knocking people who don't have kids, but no one understands what it's like until that newborn is in your arms. I've experienced it twice and let me tell you, I'd give up everything for my kids. I get pissed taking my oldest to the gym and a kid is trying to take a ball from him. I want to get up and tell that parent to control their fucking kid. But my son handles it well, and I just have to remember to step back and let him do his thing.
That's why when people give me shit about cars or anything I ignore it because sometimes they just don't understand.

Totally on point, both of you.
Probably corny, but to your point...I actually already bought her a birthday card about a month ago. I told B I want us to write something to her for her birthday every year then give them to her when she's old enough to read (or have us read to her). I make fun of my mother for having all these pictures, but realistically, I'd have not known my young self and parents had she not been so good at documenting. It makes it easier on our generation because we're a media frenzy world...but that said, if that collapsed, I'd like to keep some media that I own the intellectual property on...like a hard drive. I used to keep a journal...maybe I'll pick that back up.
I appreciate all the guidance and advice...and as always, you soak it in and take everyone else's experiences and tips and then use it to build your own knowledge base and apply it to your own circumstance.
You're right too...I'm still close friends with my ex SIL (never married but you get it) and BIL is like a brother to me...he showed up to go to a Marlins game to pick B and I up and the boys were in the back seat...18 and 16 now...was a trip but it was really nice to see them, give them a hug and tell them how awesome I always thought they were, if that didn't come across. Their mother married a nice guy that does right by all of them and took the baton 10 years ago and ran with it...I'm just happy to know they're grown and off to college and not pouring condiments at hos at johnny rockets.
Now, all the sick perverted dumb jokes I used to make are immediately not funny and I'm on hyper sensitive mode for anyone that makes one that even remotely is aimed in my direction. I used to be like..."wahhh...you can't joke"...now I'm like...NO NINJA...not about my daughter.![rofl](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
I posted on FB something along the lines of hypocrisy level catastrophic...

Adam...you married someone that doesn't want children either?
Curious, and totally sensitive and private matter...but are you both able to? I've found a lot of couples that say they don't want, I end up finding out later they decide to take that approach after not being able to but then they obviously don't lead with that, they tell you fuck that kids suck I like travel/money etc...
Anyway...
it's not for everyone...I don't know how single mothers do it, I really don't...and if you have a shaky relationship...a baby will NOT fucking save it...it'll destroy it. B and I are solid and I even had some days where I was dreaming of my 1 bedroom efficiency with my coin jar, dog and a guitar...

I've been restraining myself from posting in his idiotic shit threads but last night... That asshole buys "foam plates" for his party.
Fukwit! Styrofoam clogs the trash heaps and its not even luxury! Of all his shit, the thing that boiled my blood the most was his inattention to post consumer waste.![Rant](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/rant.gif)
Of course, since none of it actually happened, it's rather moot. But still. Slow clap for the skidmark for making me brake my vows of e-silence.

Wifey knew from early on how I felt about it. Eventually she started feeling the same. She's a fitness freak these days, she has a side business she's starting, we spend a lot of time outdoors and traveling, etc. She decided on her own that she wants too much in life to be able to start a family. She wants to go back to school now too, but hasn't decided between doing an MBA or going to med school. Talk about a huge time/life commitment.
J, you mentioned you started feeling like you needed something more out of life. At least at this point, we are very happy with our lives and yet we still want more. Not that we feel like something is missing, but rather that once we reach one goal, two new ones pop up that we want to achieve.
Maybe in 5 or 6 years things will change. Who knows. We'll be "old" new parents, but at the same time, we'll be even more established. From my experience, it seems it's best to have children at a younger age, in terms of being able to connect with your kids, and to be "child free" earlier in life, but I think it just comes down to what we make of It. We have many couple friends who are in the same boat. Some are pushing into their early to mid 40s and they don't regret their decision at all.
My brother has two children And I've watched them grow up. They're 5 and 7 now and I love them dearly, but at the same time, I can't imagine a life like that. I just can't do it.

Be a man. I wedged my thumb and ratchet between the pulley (so as to not deform the pulley), and popped the bolt with the pump removed from the car. No bitchassness. Where there's a will, there's a way. Don't let it break you, you break it... But don't actually break it because parts up there are expeensive. ![:O](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/embarrassment.gif)

![:O](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/embarrassment.gif)
![Workout](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/workout.gif)
Front PS pump bolt is in a shitty position and it was covered in PS fluid grime like the rest of my pump. That was annoying.
Removing the pulley bolt was a bitch, trying not to fuckup the pulley and keep it straight while the thing spews left over PS fluid in my apartment. Had to bring it in, 38F outside gets cold on the fingers.
Removing the housing, the pump completely disassembled itself because of suction. Exploded in all the tiny pieces which I had to put back in their respective position. Cool little surprise puzzle, in turn that totally made me forget to do one seal, the one with the 10mm allen. Not likely to be as much of an issue, if it is, I'll just remove the pump again next weekend or something.
In retrospect, I should have bought an inlet hose bolt because mine is rusty and it's getting rounded.
Overall took a bit less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of which was due to the surprise puzzle solving and cleaning the pump. Fucking PS fluid, that shit is slippery.
BUT
My power steering is back in full force now.
![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Edit: Housing seal was clearly the main culprit. That thing was less than half the new one thickness and was brittle AF.
