You sure they gave you the right ones? They laser scan the floor of the car. All of mine are a perfect fit

I was always an oem whore for floor mats, because, well, oem. Nothing fit better than mats specifically made for the car. Problem is, the all weather mats were always shallow and didn't hold much in them. I spray off my mats weekly, so they don't even accumulate that much water/dirt.

Are they expensive? Yes. But my carpets are waaaay cleaner than they ever were. Some stuff still gets by, around the gas pedal, but it's kind of expected since there's no way to mould underneath it.

Anyway, maj, I've noticed dealerships sometimes selling weather tech mats, with logos other than weather tech. They're really just glued on, so they can easily be removed. Your dealership might have V inserts if they sell the mats. Otherwise you might be able to find them on ebay or something

Thanks dude.

For those who know me, I rarely go outside of my slapsticking but I'll say this: Given how much Little Cha has been through already in his short-time so far, I can't help but feel the need to spoil him beyond rotten.

His happiness is truly, my everything.

Of course, if he becomes some entitled and non-thankful teenager/brat...I have no qualms beating him.

I remember we brought my sister to the amusement park when she was a kid. She liked the one that's like hot air balloons and that spins (much more slowly than normal ones obviously) and the mini tea cups that also spin. There was also one classic rollercoaster on a rail, but the shaking and loud noises coming out from it made it not so enjoyable to her.

I think the biggest point in making young kids enjoy or not enjoy them is the approach of the parents. If you look entertained and excited to get on with them they'll probably share the excitement too.

Kids are the best. Don't spoil him too much though, as tempting as it is!

I got the right ones for my Durango...to be honest this is the first winter in years when we actually have needed all weather mats. I really feel like the WT mats are overpriced but people buy them so...

They are good and because they are, they are overpriced...because they know they can overcharge for them.

Ah well...one time purchase, right? Not like they'll break.

I thought about getting WT, but I agree they're overpriced. I just got TL mats from Acura.

They are expensive, but not that much more than oem ones. If oem mats had higher sidewalls, I'd keep buying them.

Forged wheels are overpriced too. Gotta pay to play

For sure.. I'm the same way. I've always told my gf that when we do eventually get married and have kids that I'm going to spoil the hell out of them as long as they behave, listen, and do well (in school). But if they ever become entitled, I have no qualms cutting them off

Good grief...wasn't there that sordid story from out in Ontario where some girl plotted to have her parents murdered so she can get her inheritance?

Her mom is dead but her dad survived the shooting, I think.

You canadian are crazy! Sounds like something gwai-los will do... If children dishonor their parents like that, they better believe they're going to be haunted for the rest of their shitty lives.

It happens more than you think. Sad, really.

I've heard stories closer to home where kids were always spoiled and when they were older (early twenties) they were furious when cut off. I remember my mom telling me of a woman she worked with who was in that boat. Her son wanted to buy his gf an engagement ring and expected mommy to pony up the cash. When she said no, he pulled a knife on her.

Not unusual for abusive parents to get killed by their kids, it has happened a number of times over the years...but if you keep the kids locked in the basement...

There's a good dad if I've ever seen one. Create their flaws young and then punish them for your actions later.

Haha, I kid (pun intended). Totally get where you're coming from. I know my own struggles with kids will be to suppress my desire to buy them everything and somehow instill some good values.

WT for the CR-V were $100+shipping, I got the OEM mats for $55, free shipping. And like I said, typically we don't need mats with a big lip.

I hate you guys and all of your cheap products

But as stated, it's a one time purchase. If you keep a car for ten years, what's another 45 bucks?

Yeah, I know...talk about the contradiction here...it's something I struggle with but so far, I can more or less get away with it because Little Cha doesn't know what's going on...and well, given that he's been through so much to-date, a bit of spoiling for the next little while isn't going to tank his future IMO.

I'm sure my tone will change the minute he starts talking back.

One time temporary ownership purchase, we keep our cars 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 years typically so we just rent them anyway...

Makes more sense for us to have WT mats, but I think the same way you do regarding this. $200 over 10 years vs $100? Big effin' deal.

Oh I know, that's what everyone says. But what happens if they're not successful? Or you have a shitty relationship with them and they hate you?

You can beat them all you want, but if they run away at 16 and end up smoking crack and homeless, there's fuck all you can do.

I know I'm terrible for saying this, but I really don't like kids. And to be honest, that's putting it nicely. Wifey and I have already decided we're not gonna have kids. It's not that we would be bad parents, we just don't see why we have to follow society and do what everyone else is doing.
