Yeah we don't have any pads that offer lifetime warranty anymore. Midas shops offer it, but then you pay for install + their pricing + whatever install when you claim warranty. I've used the Wagner TQ with success in the past and would use them again, but if the OE replacement is good too and cheaper, why not.

Stick with what you know works...otherwise, you'll be the guy warning us about the sh*tty cheapest pads.

The OE replacement are $40 front and $35 back (+ sales taxes) and I'd like to do them Saturday morning so they have to be local haha

Wagner OE replacement is ceramic it says, hence my questioning if anyone used them before. Still got to call 1 shop around here to check what they have anyway.
Well that took an unexpected turn.

Some of these so called ceramic pads are really a classic compound marketed otherwise. I will say the OE pads on the TL were dusty AF. Not sure if they were Wagners.

I used Wagner.

Guess if it's really a straight "OE like" replacement I'd rather go for something trusted than have dusting issues.
Called some place and I can get some Raybestos for $65 & $51. $40 difference over Wagner OE supposed ceramic and I know it won't be shit, so I'll just go with that if I can't find a better deal. Still sucks I can't find the Wagner TQ anywhere, they're usually good and everywhere.

I will say the cmax pads have held up very well on both the TL and X. I think everyone was skeptical at first because it's from autozone. Some are still skeptical but they've been great in my book. X is due for pad change, still life in them, maybe 10-20k miles. They've been on for 80k miles. Very little dust and good brake feel and stopping force.

Just look up the pads you're interested in buying PB. I'm sure there's bound to be many reviews. You probably can't go wrong.

cmax's has held up better than stock Kia sportage pad.
i changed stock kia pad at 15k
cmax is at 20k and still has tons of life left.

Rotors aren't an issue though, I can find standard plain ones for $60 ea front and $35 ea rear. Truth be told the front brakes are still good for a decent time and I could keep the rotors in the front (back have to go) but if I'm changing the old rusty rotors in the back I won't be able to look at the front ones and not want to change them.....

That's how lazy mericans do it.
Buy 2012 car brand new, tires are now bad go buy 2016.
I had a friend who had a friend who did that. Small repairs they would fix. Anything over $700 they would trade it in.

My coworker's sister did that her whole life.. new car every 2-3 years. She's 60 and has nothing saved. Sad.

Agree. Such a big difference between earlier and 07+.
not even expensive. How do they enjoy having payments + losing value on all their purchases?

I'm counting down the day I pay the Accord off. Should be within 2 weeks. I can do it now, but I'm waiting until I close..
Even though I mention buying new cars, my dumbass won't do it. Toss the idea around, think about it, then I be like "Yeah, nah......"

Hey that's quick paying. Good job on that

So, let's be clear. It went downhill when the robots arrived. Don't lump me with the Syrup Drinkers. They're innocent and generally bitter at having to pay out of their @$$es and gonads in taxes.

Part of the price though, I can't spend that sort of money and tell myself it makes sense.
