Seen that video before, I'm subbed to /DRIVE. For $5500 it's good even at 194K but you're going back in time in terms of technology.

Fuck technology.. tbh.. I don't even mess with the tech in the V.. heck I didn't even mess with the TL either. It's about the drive brah.. Half the time I don't even put music on when I drive. I just like being a nasty rude boi. lol.
Typhoons, Syclones, GNs, are pretty rare everywhere except here in TX. Heck, most people couldn't tell you anything about them, or what makes them so special, even 20-30 years later.

Don't see the reason for all the hate when its tried and true and plenty of people on v6p have run it reliably. Guess y'all are just a tough crowd

To each his own - plenty of examples of people making good power and torque with j36 builds that can be had for relatively little cash provided you source the parts used, which is easy. 300 whp 280 wtq uncammed untuned, so plenty of further potential. Plenty of weight savings to be had as well which would put the car in GLI territory weight wise, and thats a good benchmark for me weight wise.

FWD, 60/40 weight, slightly cramped bay, limited 6MT availability, difficulty of turbo options (or lack thereof...)
Block is solid, but there's so many other considerations and I think there's many other platforms that are cheaper, easier and more rewarding in the end. Tried and true would be a foxbody, not a heavy FWD sedan.

time will tell I guess. If I can net what Gerzand had on his 5AT power wise without digging into the engine, I'll be plenty happy
I mean I bought the TL because I absolutely love the styling, its cheap on insurance and anything I need to fix on it is relatively cheap and DIY-able. I'm aiming to keep it that way - the only other platform off the top of my head that would interest me and in my price range would be an S2K, and that's far from winter friendly.

I'm packing and moving this weekend. Then I'll be moving again next week during the week.

Not much...going to throw some king crab and trout on the BBQ tonight and take it easy.
Tomorrow, wife has a bachelorette party to attend for most of the day and I'll take it easy at home with Little Cha. Sunday...Mom's day. Taking my Mom and and First Lady out for Sunday brunch.

That's the problem N1...you'll spend all that money, then want more. It's crazy...I'm not hating, it's just not for me. My car feels plenty fast for me on a daily basis. Fk that.
Maj...the funny part is, one BIG reason I loved the S2000 to begin with was the way it was put together reminded me of my 1990 civic. I love simplicity of the car...I don't want a car that drives for me or distracts me with facebook updates.
Ahhh...a simpler time.
Justin, they call it Patina paint job? I love it too! A$$ Monkey, baby!
