I don't know about that, sure they're gonna last forever (or so they say) but it's a bit cost prohibitive. I have yet to check the pricing for the OEM ones here though, so my opinion might change down the road...

 

to each their own i guess. I'd rather get it done once and not worry about it (as much) then have to pay to get it done few more times down the line. convenience of "doing it right the first time and not worry about it" again outweighs $ in my personal opinion. I just can't stand paying for something that will break again anyway. why not opt for a potential better solution and take a gamble. It's a price i'm willing to pay for the slight possibility it WILL last the lifetime of my TL.


But yeah, it's a "so they say" type thing so there's always the possibility of them failing too.

 

I won't be letting someone else do it though. If I had to bring it somewhere for them to do it for me I agree I would opt for the PCI after paying for an hourly rate to get to them.
I think the job really won't be all that difficult.... minus the rusted bolts and nuts. Now that's gonna be fun, I checked quickly and they look welded.

 

There's your savings then I tried removing LCA bushings on my Accord a few years back and failed miserably...Didn't have a machine press and my rigged up one didn't do the job right.

I'll probably remove LCA myself and take it to a shop to get it pressed in though.

 

I broke my buddy's VICE on one side...took the other to a machine shop. $10...done. FK that...pay up.
