I live in SoCal but travel for work (IT Consultant). From September to the end of February, I was in South Florida on a project. My new project is in North Carolina and I'm slated here until 10/31 . So I'm across the country 4-5days a week and then home for the weekends.
Ew.

Travelling is fun. Travelling for work to North Carolina? Ehhhh.

I imagine TL-S doesn't get driven?

Florida was fun-ish. Work travel gets tiresome though because you get to your destination and don't get much time to actually explore. I went to South Beach one time while I was down there

TL-S gets driven on the weekends a bit just to tgive her some time on the road to charge up the battery. I didn't quite get up to 100 mph like you wanted but i'm close to 100kmh

100kmh is the highway limit here, you did good!

Also that makes me feel weird about having a 04 with 93K miles on it.

In the shitty California traffic, I'm lucky if I can hit 100 without stupid shitty Cali drivers driving in the fast lane. 120 maybe at night.

California traffic is the reason I wouldn't get a manual car.

Hhahaha well.. to be fair I did get the car in August 2013 with 88K already on the clock :/. It was bit on the higher side but pristine condition inside and out and white exterior + ebony interior I had to have it.

Is the 5AT electronically cut to 135 or is it just the gearing that makes it impossible to go further without the motor tearing from the tranny?

Speaking of brotein. What are y'all's take on chicken breast versus chicken thighs. I'm getting sick of eating chicken breast all the time.. and thinking about switching over to thighs for a minor increase in fat but major increase in flavor

I see a fucking Ferrari doing 230kmh behind me while I'm in the left lane? I FUCKING MOVE OUT. I don't try to slowly accelerate in my Yaris then after 10 minutes and not a car in sight switch lanes!!

Don't drive in California. Southern Californians especially are notoriously bad for being disrespectful like that. They're always in a world of their own.. :smh:

Chicken thighs are slightly less "healthy". They generally have a bit of fat on them, but to be honest, Wifey and I prefer chicken thighs. They always pack more flavour and are always more juicy than chicken breasts. They're cheaper too.

For the minimal difference in "health", I highly recommend them. I got so bored of eating chicken breasts. Bleh. You can also cut the bits of fat off thighs also.

I think the 5AT is electronically limited at 135. Also it seems to literally fall flat on it's face once it hits 4th gear. Back in my younger days (like 3 or 4 years ago lol) I went up against a fully bolted and one of the first JNR tuned TL-S's. He had the edge up until 4th gear

Whenever we have people over when we cook with thighs, people always are like "how did you get these chicken breasts to taste so good?!"

I'm a breast guy, but in all honesty fat is not as bad as people perceive it. You don't gain fat if you don't take carbs. Sure, breast is more dry though.

I say don't sweat it. Think of your cholesterol levels if your fat intake is large. At the end of the day, it's all about the calories. You can build muscle eating McD if you follow a certain path where you get enough protein, carbs and fat.

Don't eat the skin because now that's just being silly. Crispy goodness once in a while, just not every time.

Toyboy, try eating turkey also.

We rarely eat ground beef or pork. We generally stick to ground turkey instead as it has waaaay less fat in it. In tacos, or whatever, I can't even really tell the difference either. I don't like my food dripping with fat, so after draining it off, the taste difference isn't all that noticeable.

Here people don't seem to have a rear view mirror or flashers. If you try to put yours on to signal a lane change, usually people will try their best not to let you pass. wtffff

It's really not that much. Just pick at it and eventually you're done!

The 4th gear is definitely lacking. 2 & 3rd are fun to fuck around with and you can bet you let those hit fucking redline before switching to 4th.
4th feels like a 5th gear should feel. Not sure what was their point over at Honda. I use my 4th gear all the time while cruising in the city... might as well give it some use saving me gas. Still seems ridiculous to pop in the 4th gear at 19mph (lowest you can force it in on the AT manual mode)

When it comes to skin, I always thought as long as you rendered all the fat out from under the skin, the skin itself isn't all TOO bad..

I never even looked into ground turkey.. waoo.. I've used to turkey breast when it comes to deli slices for sandwiches and stuff.. I'm not a big red meat fan myself either but chicken breast gets tiresome..

Imma look into making ground turkey burgers the next time I'm craving one. Thinking throw some smoked gouda, avocado, red onions on there on a whole wheat bun with a garlic aoili...

fuck i'm hungry now... it's lunch time.

I eat ground beef or pork every once in a while (aside from burgers).

Also drain it motherfucker, don't need to let the ground beef sit in it's juices forever.

I buy whichever, although like I said usually chicken breast. 12.50$/kg is a good enough price for deboned deskinned. (That's $5.68/lbs for you amurican guys)

If you're going to use ground turkey for burgers make sure you use bread crumbs for the patties. No fat = doesn't hold together very well. Last thing you want is a sandy, crumbly burger.

I've never tried ground turkey. I usually get 96/4 ground beef. It has way less fat.

Here's a don't-you-just-hate-it mini-rant...

I must preface it too with the fact that I HATE taking a at work...hate hate hate hate hate it. Hate it almost more than posts posted in the wrong thread.

Anyhow, had to go today. Had to. So, I have a strategy of taking the floor in this building where I know there are few men working (i.e. HR)...less chance of someone waltzing in and being in the stall next to me. Well, not today. One time I use the work toilet, and midway through my business, a guy walks in. Fark.

Battle-sh*ts ensues. And well, I'll ALWAYS lose. My diet as those who read my posts are spartan (raw veggies, fruits, not too much meat) usually...easy in and easy out. Clean too. So, while my is no spices and roses, it's not a 10 in the stink-city scale. Nor do I fart lots. Or make funky bowel noises. Like I said...clean exit. Low impact smell (even my wife has said so).

The guy next to me? Holy crap (no pun intended)...did he sink all of my battle-sh*ts. He had the guns blazing, the gas attacks going...I lost.

I hate losing battle-sh*ts.

Kthxbye.

Quit being a whiner and just take a damn shit. Everyone does it. Everyone's shit stinks. No one ever cares about someone shitting besides the person shitting. People are so afraid to sit on a toilet seat because someone else did earlier. If there isn't piss and shit all over the seat, who cares.

It also doesn't necessarily matter what you eat. It's the enzymes/whatever else in your body. Women apparently have Stinkier bowels then men. Someone actually did a study on it. I have a buddy who can knock out an entire transit station with his shits and he doesn't eat junk food.

JEEEZ that's expensive! I usually get chicken breast when it's about 1.98 a pound!

Fark.

The guy next to me? Holy crap (no pun intended)...did he sink all of my battle-sh*ts. He had the guns blazing, the gas attacks going...I lost.

I hate losing battle-sh*ts.

Kthxbye.
I used to hate taking shits at work too but then it became my own time to relax, play some candy crush, and just take a break from my work; a ritual if you will.. I do hate when people come in and stink up the place though... my shit is bad enough, i don't need your machine gun, diarrhea junk to mess up the place..

I'm usually in there for at least 30 minutes
