The whole point of this thread and the previous two threads was to create a space for 3g owners to ramble. Other azine boards have similar threads like 2g tsx. We were given permission to start these threads at the suggestion of a mega/senior mod so we don't clutter up other threads. That being said, if you look at the metrics, this series of rambling threads has generated more views than most. Moving the thread will probably kill all that. I don't think yumcha was being out of line, the racist banter is an inside joke to our affinity to Russell Peters, tongue in cheek if you will. He's the mildest of the bunch and often cleans up inappropriate posts. Btw did someone report H?

My 2 cents...I haven't read all the posts that started this whole mess but this is the 3G Ramblings and General Discussion Thread. There are times when the racism "jokes" are over the top. There are times when the jokes about sexual orientation are over the top. I have no doubt that there are some readers that could be and probably are offended by said comments. Some are definitely more sensitive about such comments because they have been subjected to racism or homophobia. I'm 61 years old, probably older than everyone else who is a regular in this thread or all or almost all of those that occasionally stop by. I am guilty of making the occasional off color comment, pun intended. However I never intend for those comments to be offensive but I am sure that some could be offended. Face it, there are members of Azine that are racist and homophobes, because every cross section of the population contains racist and homophobes. Fact of life. There are members on here that will be offended by the comments of the racists and the homophobes. We as men and women, and the occasional youngster on here need to recognize these facts and conduct ourselves accordingly. Our comments, no matter how seemingly innocent may offend someone and for that we need to accept responsibilty, learn from and grow from that.

That being said...I am a semi regular on here and would miss the ramblings and general discussions that occur here.

Astro, Ron A, and Steven B...moving or killing this thread is an over reaction in my humble opinion. I believe the solution is very simple. Again I say WE just need to act like adults, accept responsibility for our actions, apologize to the offended and vow not to offend again.

We got past it and we're all presumably friends in here (or at the very least fake internet friends that interact daily more than we do with actual people).

I can't believe you wouldn't just PM Yumcha privately and tell him you are taking his comments offensively and I guarantee you they'd stop.
