I have some Ichiba 15 and 20 mm spacers sitting in a box waiting to be installed..
And a set of 8.5's waiting to be repaired/refinished have rubber mounted and installed..
Don't plan on lowering too much if at all..
Just trying to figure out my options..
Thanks for the feedback!!
I think you'll have to lower if you want to complete the look. You don't have to slam it, but a little drop goes a long way. I'd do the wheels, tires and spacers first, before Dropping though, just so you know where you're at and see where you want to be.
By the way, those A-Specs along with spacers on will be adding a lot of unsprung weight, and it'll be a lot more mass for the engine to have to turn over. Your acceleration will suffer. Braking might be a bit effected, but not nearly as noticeable. Handling will be different also.
I find it's not generally as noticeable when you put a heavier/bigger wheel on, but if you ever go back down in size for whatever reason, you'll be like "holy fuck. This car feels completely different".
I'm all about balance function and form.. I bought the spacers a while back at a good price without even thinking if I would ever use them. I'm not dead set on using them if not necessary either.
Alright so you said I should be good at 15 but will the 20 be ok in the back? I guess I could just adjust it with the coils it catches
It depends on how low you go, how wide of a tire you get, how big the spacer is, etc. there are multitude of combinations that will work.
If you know that the stock tire is 235, if you move up to 255, you're essentially adding 10mm on closing the gap (10mm per side). So measure the gap now, add 10mm to it and see how much of a spacer you can realistically still fit.
Keep in mind, if you corner hard, etc, some body lean will occur, so you still need to maintain a bit of a gap, for functional purposes.
Honestly not a God damned thing. I'm "training" so you know ...read the forums and look busy
Ok, but you're at the base? Any their are sergeants peering into your anus?
Just curious to know what kind of circumstances you work in. Not trying to creep on you or find out your true identity, or whatever the fuck. Not my style.

I'm off site ..I work in an office full of cubicles and shoulder surfers so I'm constantly switching screens.
Don't think too many Sgts would take too kindly to half naked dudes on skates on my screen..
Oh also shipping should be fairly cheap if I bring them with me to Raleigh and we meet halfway or I just ship them from here or whatever.. let me know!

The beefy tires look doesn't change the offset of the wheels. So yes, still sunken look, however, slightly less.
You can still lower your car, but Tyler was pretty dang low. You could likely drop your car 1.5" and not have a problem.
Barely rubbing? Chunks of tire were left in my driveway The inner lip of my front fender was pulled out by the tire and I had to grind it down with a Dremel to clear. That was with 235s with my coilovers.
I had 15/20mm spacers. Even with rolled rear fenders and TEIN S-Tech springs, I rubbed in the back with 245s. I had no issues with 235s running -1.5 camber all around.

But, at least I was able to get in a workout. No gymming for next week as I'm off on some vacation (more to do some home design stuff for the place we're building and to take Little Cha for some medical checkups)...

Get some real time off, you know you're not a real robot right...?
