Sadly, winter tires are not mandatory here in Alberta (I wish they were), but every car I've ever owned has always had a dedicated winter set- the TL is no different.
We only got about 30cm of snow, but I live in a new neighbourhood that is currently maybe 40% developed. Past my house there really is no houses yet, so the snow doesn't get packed down nicely, since there is almost zero traffic. I saw a couple trucks actually get stuck this morning, lol.
It also didn't help that it was pretty windy here, so there seemed to be even more snow accumulation in some spots. I just finished shovelling the shit out of my sidewalk, driveway and even the road in front of our house. Took several hours, but I'm able to get out now. I get stuck once or twice, but I just rock the car back and forth and away I go again. It's funny to see the traction control light stay on solid, lol.

As for trucks getting stuck, every year I do my good Samaritan act and help a stuck pickup truck or a distressed house wife. Both have a tendency to get stuck stupidly, the first usually because "I GOT PICKUP ME MANLY" and they won't have any weight in the back.

Being the IMMIGRANT into this country, I always watching the morons WHO LIVED IN THE CITY ALL THEIR LIFE drive and fail at it when a major storm hits.
Like, seriously. You live in a place where the winters are BRUTAL and you don't buy winter tires? And you're attempting to drive UP that hill? Good luck. A few days ago, I counted about 7 failed attempts out of 12 cars that tried to drive up this hill on the way to work.
What's pathetic is these people think their SUVs or giant pick-ups (with gonads hanging from the hitch) on 4-by-4 alone can take on a 314123437 feet of snow. Yup. You go. Not.

This is why I had to buy cross-overs (FX and Countryman) for life in Canadark. The winters are just back-breaking.

Really is a lot about driver "skills" and intelligence if you can call it that. I got stuck in the snow before, it was my own fault and I knew it the whole time. Shoveled snow from under my car with my legs because I had nothing else to reach far enough, car was jacked in it. It was fun.

Yeah not too often. I like people watching on boring days.
Bigger wouldn't fit in the current apartment I'm in. Would have in the condo, but I sold that. :p
Besides I don't even have cable, I just like watching movies.
Hey LG, Samsung and all these brands are still the same when you buy them from Walmart. And I needed a double breasted coat which I didn't up finding, the Walmart was affixed to the mall, thought I'd go see people fight over a slightly discounted toaster or something.

That awkward moment when you return home to find your Gundams working on your car without you.

It's not the quality of the items sold in Walmart.. It's the quality of people the price attracts.
I'm a cheap mofo.. I'll slip into my local ghetto wallyworld to pick up good deal on ammo or oil.. and slip out like a titty in a skrip joint, like a wienie in a whore house, like yumcha in a 1 hr meeting.
Our local gun nut.. RIP.. once went and bought a case of shells. Dumb clerk only charged him for one box. Even though he brought the mistake to the clerks attention, clerk said it was fine. Walked out with several hundred dollars worth of ammo for less than one hundred.

The length is okay, but the girth is a no-go

Thanks for the push and the code, Maj...hard to pass up that kinda pricing.
Anyone know the shelf life on wiper blades? Does the rubber get brittle at some point after manufacture date? Curious because I just received some blades from Amazon and was thinking about returning them for this set, but if they stay good then I'll hang onto them for next year.
