Justn, do well my ninja.. but get right with your money. If you are a quality employee and genuinely feel you are underpaid, unzip your pants, grab you balls around the scrote and walk around the office saying fuck you, pay me.

In my group, we have several people who only come in to get a check, don't do shit. Yet I bust my fucking ass, up all hours of the night on projects, project lead several products, fix other people's shit all the time, yet receive no recognition or value. I know if I quit, this motherfucker is going to sink. We'll see.. seriously, the next motherfucker is going to earn his stripes.

Don't worry, no chance of that, Maj. He's not a quality employee. He just skates by with the bare minimum. It's just that he was supposed to be done with the bare minimum last Friday and it's starting to stack.

I need to be motivated and challenged. I don't do well with data entry but I'm great at task oriented things as well as problem solving. In addition, I can make decisions as long as I understand the goal and can explain why I take or avoid an action.

We recently got rid of our last "slacker" a few weeks ago so we're running a tighter ship nowadays. Only issue now is those who are technologically challeneged

My "rah-rah" speech to my team at a recent mandatory-company-issued-manager-staff team-building session was this:

"You are paid to do a f*cking job. Do it. Or I'll fire you. Motivated? Okay good. Now get out."

Meeting was 2 minutes. It took me longer to walk to the room and wait for everyone to get seated. But, I reported back to management that the meeting was a rousing success.

At my job the ones that talk about how they're too busy and are working so hard are the ones that are online and ordering soccer cleats for the kids the most. My azz...you're busy because you mismanage your time.

Yes.. problem is I work with non-technical people.. they play the, I'm too ignorant to lead this effort card. Make up their own fucking asinine work to keep them "busy" for months at a time. They are of no value to this company and upper management couldn't give a flying fuck. We have plenty of gwairos who are kickass. Even non-technical gwairos. Not the issue.

I'm just fucking allergic to lazy and incompetent people whose sole purpose is to fuck shit up. Some of their fuckups go unnoticed for months. I think they do it to justify their existence. They never say they fucked it up, just that they "fixed" it.. when it was really I who fixed it ("Hey Majofo, I found this error, can you look into it?").

Shit thing is our management doesn't allow others to throw those responsible under the bus. Already one guy got scolded by management when they called one of our resident fuckups out for fucking up a big project. Not good teamwork bullshit. That guy left quick, I should have went with him.

I have no issues if someone is slacking off for a spell IF they can finish what was asked of them with something that is high-quality.

Heck, if there were no web filters here, go hard and surf pr0n for all I care.

What I cannot tolerate the MOST is when some village idiot gives me something that my 1 year-old could slapped together by bashing on the keyboard and then when I ask nicely why the code looks like it was devved by a 4th-World-Country person, they say they are too "busy".

That's when I get "cute".

Sounds like...any employer on this planet, dude.

There are those who just slink their way through their day...

Fixing people's mistakes and incompetence is probably 95% my life. Unfortunately, I can't fire those people because they are not from my team. My favorite statement when someone cheekily walks into my office asking for something is "Can you just..."

There are days I want the cram my Mazinger Z here up their @$$.

Justification is easy: "I did X for Y when the expected output was Z..." If you can do that regularly, a nice raise is in the books for you.

That's how I feel too...could I get done more if I were being productive ALL day long?!!?!? Sure. But that's unrealistic and I pride myself on the fact that when it's slow, I chill but when the sh*t hits the fan I ALSO don't complain and do what it takes to get sh*t done.

This morning, perfect example. I'm hourly, still...which is a curse but mostly a blessing because mandatory 40 hour week OR approved OT. Well, recently I was given the "opportunity" (always says yes to these) to take over someone's full time job while on Maternity leave AND take over someone's other tasks that were the majority of his day (he's one of those mismanaged time people) and do my own job. Today, had to do some field audits so yesterday afternoon...tons of invoices that needed scrutiny rolled in. Nobody told me to...but I came in at 540am instead of 7 and plowed thru with severe dedication.

Maybe it's because I'm 35 and have 16 years with this company...maybe I'm maturing...but in the end, it's either in you, or it's not to be a hard worker that does the right thing for the company.

Honestly, I have been coming up with a few ideas. I have a long term idea that needs quite a bit of capital and is super high risk. I know my shit and I believe I can be successful, but it's dependent on too many variables. I've kinda put that in the back of the notebook.

I have some smaller scale ideas, but not committed. An old professor of mine is a venture capitalist. He's on a couple of venture capital boards. He made a company from scratch and turned it into a large scale company before selling for +200M. He teaches for free. I asked him if he thought the best ideas were taken. He's said fuck no, the best have yet to be seen. It inspires me to keep the creative juices flowing. In my brain and in my pants.

Being rich is not the precursor to the IS350. You need to be WORTHY of driving it. Apparently, I'm not.

My job is manufacturing test support. It literally exists to contain and repair other people's errors. You guys would fucking hate working here. Whenever I find significant/critical errors, I bring them back to the team, but nobody ever learns. And there's this no-blame culture where instead of holding people accountable for their fuck-ups, they baby the issue and do a root cause analysis. Oh, they didn't have proper training, follow instructions, etc etc. While that's all well for finding holes in the process/procedures, how many times can you let certain people fuck shit up before saying straight up that their incompetence is the root cause.

Wish I had colleagues like u guise.

And LMFAO @ just-in-majofo's butt stations
Do I just plug it in the bee-whole?
