I was actually hopelessly in love with a girl in high school for a bit. She was stunning.

But, ended up dating a girl from Brunei...that lasted 6.5 years until end of college. Almost married.

I see a lot of married to here too...mainly Koreans tho due to a large military population here. And this is not a liberal area by any stretch.

Segue a bit to Filipino cuisine. I enjoy adobo chicken and palobok. But, don't know much else. And I do not recall seafood is used as an ingredient too often...

Most Filipino seafood dishes consist of fresh fish like tilapia that are fried in oil and eaten off the bone. Once in a while a nice reef fish is eaten, but prepared in the same manner. Unless we're talking shrimp paste.. Mmmmm... or mongo mongo.

Filipinos sea food and eat it.

Yummy, you should try Dinuguan, you'll love it.

More than anything, it's that "gamey" taste that I'm not particularly fond of if too much animal product is used.

I'm not as finicky with seafood...but, if the after-taste/smell of turf animals is too strong, no thanks...

I actually like good dinuguan, but yes, can taste very gamey. It's like the blood and oil passes right through you.
