you guys remember my audi/porsche bud...the one who's dad i worked with and used to join them for father/son night?
i had posted about it, I think...a year ago his dad took a spill on his bike...almost didn't make it. never came back to work,
since he was technically a retired employee and contractor...
passed in his sleep last night. i'm in shock.
fuck.
, my friend.

I have 2 second cousins that served in Vietnam...
affected them differently...one is an army nurse, one of the first lesbian couples to have their marriage approved in Cali. They since moved to Oregon. She's amazing.
The other had serious social anxiety due to it...quiet type...good heart, won't talk about anything about Vietnam...likes woodworking and lives a clean simple life. Orale.
That's Mom's side of the family
It's funny how much influence these good people have on us...showing us the way when we don't even realize how much game they sprinklin and more importantly how
much we're soaking. Everyone they touched is better because of it...except maybe a handful of Viet Kong.
and I must be getting old but I remember that dumbass spray painting cars' case like it was yesterday.

My vato's pop died in his sleep
He was a little sick earlier in the week
Had a nice dinner with his family, enjoyed an ice cream
Went to bed and that was it
Survived two deployments as army intelligence officer in Vietnam.. he had bodies
Was a top cop and made office in charge of many districts including Singapore
My vato's sister was actually a classmate to that shithead who got caned
(was in the global news for being a fuckstick )
That's how I met my vato, his pops was my pop's boss
His dad got me into diving..
He's like.. my butthole son is being lazy, you want to go diving (6AM dive)
I hadn't taken a dive class, he was just like, put this shit on, don't die
He knew I fucked so was like fuck yeah
It became a tradition every other weekend
We'd also go fishing.. caught 300 lb marlin with him and son
I landed a nearly 100 lb yellowfin tuna.. shit was wild
Tons of mahi mahi, wahoo, etc
Anyways.. lived a fucking righteous ass life
Oh yeah, motherfucker would take us on these grueling hikes
Like death marches.. we'd get to some summit.. and what do you know..
We cut through jungle only to find out there's a beaten path on the other side
We'd be like.. Yo!! why didn't we take the trail.
He'd be like.. You never go in the same way you go out, that's how Charlie gets you!
He'd always act fucking crazy, but inside he had this sick sense of humor.. the best
We'd go eat at a food court
When he was done, he'd say no.. put your tray down you asshole
(You're supposed to bus your own shit, you know the deal)
He's like.. we need to encourage the economy and create new jobs
Yoooo!!! wtf?!?! Did I say teh fucking best
Best part, he was 7th grade dropout
But he was legit a genius (member of Mensa when that was big deal)..
He was diving back when it wasn't a recreational thing.. just a tank strapped to his back
Ended up doing some work for UCSD, enjoyed that
Got his GED, then two masters degrees in marine bio and some other shit
I legit got game from him
His arm chair had this pineapple grenade we found on one of our stomps
It was a WWII relic, rusty, just sitting on his side table, pin still in
This is how I esteem to live.. and go out.
Either in my sleep.. or being blown up by a rusty war relic

I can tell he had a huge impact on your life. He lived the best he knew he could. Sounds like a great man. Celebrate his life, God Bless!

Like, "hour in an exotic" present? Or like "see if you like this and it's yours" present?
