So I finally got around to cancelling shitty ol' Frontier internet. Buncha bullshit cawkgobblers those ones.
I mentally prepared myself for the Account Retention BS offers and whatnot, but Frontier actually has an option of their phone tree to Cancel Service.
How shitty of a company do you need to be that you actively give people the option to cancel? Usually it's nothing but hurdles and counteroffers, but they're so shitty they're just like, "ah, yeah... makes sense, we'll disconnect you bruh. peace out."

I just dumped that shit hole of Frontier for the 2nd time and will not go back. Internet was out one day and was like screw this. Cancelled. Then I called to cancel, "your speed sucks ass, I'm paying the same with Xfinity for 60 Mbps, while I'm only getting 15 with you guys." What can we do to get you to stay?" "nothing I already switched."
Fuck outta here with that.
Went to Satan's grundle (Comcast Xfinity) and bundled cable/internet. Punted Frontier and Direct. Now getting like 60x faster internats and all the same TVs (old here, I can't cut the cable yet) for less than before.
Fuggem.

You guys have some poor ass internet providers. 60mpbs... Shiiiet

At that speed, it takes MINUTES to download your homoerotic love dramas.

Yup Frontier was like, "Sir, that's the best we have in that area."
My area doesn't have consolidated which was surewest. But if you go to the community across the way you can get it. they get fiber optic. Should have moved to a better neighborhood.
I have Direct TV which ends in January, just cancelled AT&T. switched to Xfinity mobile and love that since I have their internet now I can tap into the hotspots throughout the city.

Seriously. I've got gigabit service and can download the entire Ass Blasters collection along with bonus scenes in less than 2 minutes.

I'm cutting the cord again in January.
Share a Netflix account already
Pay 99 cents a month for Hulu
Have Prime now since I have prime
Then I have kodi on both Firesticks, although I need to find someone with a Gen 1 Firestick remote, since my daughter lost mine and I need to reconnect the firestick to the wifi so I can utilize the Fire TV remote app on my phone.

I cut the cord back in 2014. Cable and all their ridiculous fees were just too much. I put an antenna in my attic (not innuendo) that can supply all of my TVs with OTA HD TV, and I can pick up around ~20 channels here. I also have Chromecasts on every TV for streaming YouTube and whatever else (...Pornhub...). I share HBO Go, Netflix and Hulu. But, within the past year I did sign up for Youtube TV (before the price hike). It's $35/mo, and fios is $79 a month with taxes (I have my own router so no rental fees for their shitty Actiontec router), and I'm still paying less then what the TV and internet bundles are in my area. Youtube TV is pretty sweet too since I can share it with up to 5 people and each person has an unlimited cloud based DVR. I wish it were cheaper, but I can't complain.

Yeah, in my part of the hood, it's Frontier or Comcast. Or some oddball guy that has a transponder set up on a tall building and acts as a ISP over the air. But his speeds are on par with Frontier for the same cost, and same unreliability (i.e. Xenu help you if there's a storm causing the trees to sway and it blocks the signal).
So basically it's Comcast or the stone ages.

I miss Phoenix because Cox was great. I loved Cox. Cox serviced me very well.

Jesus. At that point, is it more economical to get a hotspot from one of the cell companies?

That's what I ultimately ended up doing. The last few weeks before I got fed up, I'd be working at home and the internet would go out so I'd hotspot off my phone. And get 15x faster speed too.
And I realized that I'd never use wifi on my phone at home because it was too slow. And was like, WTabsoluteF am I paying these jabroni's for?

I cut the cord in 2007. Best decision ever. I've saved over $9K by cutting the cord.
