I had a chance to run to my Acura dealership today. Ordered a new headliner for the TL... Wifey keeps asking me if it's worth it at this point. I didn't have a solid response. I keep debating if I should sell or hang on to it for a few more years. Wishful thinking that I can fetch a decent amount of it on cars and bids or bring a trailer.

list it for a number you're willing to part with it for.
If it doesn't sell, keep it...
if it does, fuck it, move on.
On one hand you will regret it.
On the other hand you will not regret it.
Problem is, you've been driving the wife's car lately and you got a taste of what other cars can offer.
When my buddy lent me his S5 in 2013 he ruined me and my love for my 3G.
Plus, the FB dipshits on the 3G pages make you feel like you've outgrown the scene I bet.
I'm not only a member of this club I describe, Gus, I'm also the president.

OEM headliner? Did you try looking into how much it would be to reupholster it?

I think that we've grown to appreciate the platform that is the 3rd gen TL and outsiders just will never understand.. We're like the foodies of the car world , got a specific palate

I appreciate our conversations as always J. You're right. If I ever do sell, just list it at a price i'm willing to let it go for and move on. The Dipshits on Facebook aren't that much different than some of the tards here.. At least on the Facebook groups they don't discredit my credentials and knowledge in the automotive industry. a FEW long time members here who should have more class are as equivalent to trash in a dumpster. I have outgrown the whole Acura scene. While I appreciate the tremendous stride to change for the better, it's too late in my book and I checked out a long time ago. There is nothing like the 3rd gen TL IMO. It holds a different type of value to me. What's funny is that I believe the TL is something that it's not. So when someone walks into my driveway, they always ask "What's under the cover".. (Expecting to hear some sort of exotic..) " Oh it's a 2004 Acura TL..." (strange look on their face almost asking WHY?!) I own two of the same generation X3's and while I do really enjoy them (More the M40i) they are different in their own way. I drive my TL and notice what a different vehicle it is to something that is well put together like the M40i. You know this 1st hand also. It's a different animal all together. I don't personally enjoy the M40i because my wife uses it to commute to work two - three days a week. One thing is for sure, each passing year that goes by, the less i'm interested in the whole enthusiast scene.
I have reached out to multiple shops. The ones that answered aren't willing to do a headliner on newer vehicles with curtain airbags... I also looked into ebay, google, facebook groups ect for used headliners. No luck. One on facebook posted a mint used headliner, I offered him his asking price plus $100 to ship, he ignored my messages and sold the headliner to someone else. I've been beating this to death for several months now.

I always ask my chick, do you respect these people? No...then why do you care what their opinion is of you?
You know what you know, and the people that matter know.
When my marriage fell apart I closed down my FB...the ex let people think what they wanted of me and my new chick (ironic...)
I didn't bother to explain or defend what happened because I figured the people that know me knew what the deal was and the
ones that didn't don't matter.

Blackout, of course.
I've been using a sobakawa pillow for a few months now and it's like game over whenever my head hits it.
But yeah, seeing the sun every day is like half surprise and half disappointment.

Yesterday, I was making an afternoon pick-me-up pot of coffee... had the water on the stove and put the coffee in the French Freedom Press carafe. I went to grab a towel and tipped the damn thing over and it shattered on the counter.
Shitty thing is that it was the wife'sFrench Freedom Press that she's had for like 20 years.
So yeah, that's why you get a comfortable couch. Still no trouble falling asleep there. A+, would recommend.

Everyone is different, I'm sure, but yeah, it's that good.
I'm a side sleeper too, mostly. Some times back.
It was a little tough to finally buy one because they're not cheap and I wasn't sure I wanted to gamble if it wouldn't work out. But I hemmed and hawed enough and just said fuck it.
Long story short, I bought a 'murican sized pillow, thought it was too big and heavy and then went and bought a JDM sized pillow shell. Transferred over enough husks to get the JDM one (which is half the size of a 'murican pillow) just right and I used it for a while. But it was all goofy because I had this little baby pillow on the bed with 3 other 'murican sized ones. But it worked damn well.
Now, I'm just back to the full sized 'murican pillow. It's a beast, something like 15 pounds of sobakawa in it. I definitely win pillow fights now... it'll fucking KO anyone, one hit.
It's pretty terrible for proping up in bed and watching TV or reading or anything, but I don't really do that. It's a game changer for falling asleep though.
I'll get it just right so my head is comfortable and fall asleep. Next morning, I'll wake up in exactly the same position.

just ordered 2 with prime...
one is straight husk the other is half husk half poly with great reviews.
I'll give them both a try.
My sleep hasn't been restful lately...last night I fell asleep on the pillow I usually straddle and
woke up to piss in a DEEP sleep and thought, okay maybe I should revisit my pillow option.
The pillow I use is like 25 years old and down and I have to fluff it up and stack it to get it
high enough to raise my head so my shoulder doesn't fall asleep.
I'll report back, thanks for sharing that.
