There's like 3 or 4 big companies making them here. Pine Tales seemed to me to be the trade off between price and quality.

Beans72 seems to be the Cadillac of sobakawa pillows, but I was too cheap to get one from them.
My sleep hasn't been restful lately...last night I fell asleep on the pillow I usually straddle and
woke up to piss in a DEEP sleep and thought, okay maybe I should revisit my pillow option.
The pillow I use is like 25 years old and down and I have to fluff it up and stack it to get it
high enough to raise my head so my shoulder doesn't fall asleep.
That's exactly where I was at. I had two pillows that I'd have to strategically stack and then use my arm to prop just right to support my head.
With the sobakawa, I just plump it up to the middle and sort of settle my head down into it to where I want it to be and it's done. You can make micro-adjustments by sort of scooping some in or out under your head.
There's a definite earthy scent to it and it makes a rustling noise when you move it around, which I find soothing.

Got my new headliner. Shop is doing the install, I'll pick it up after work. I gave them a few blankets to cover the dashboard and seats while the headliner gets replaced. I'm keeping my old headliner for now.

I'm a fancy bitch and I get the ones with the leather straps hoping that they last longer. But I'm also a cheapass so I won't buy any until I can find them on closeout. So it means that I'll wear them until they're totally flat on the bottom like racing slicks. Inevitably, I realize it's time for new ones when I start slipping across the parking lot because they hydroplane on the painted crosswalk lines. So many times my old ass must have looked like I was having a spazz fit coming out of Target.
He only wears the raised wooden ones so he calls them clogs and not flip flops.
I'm with you though...I won't pay more than $15 for a pair...they are nuts charging 30 or more
fuck that. Mine I wear until I can barely tolerate the rock and pebbles on the levies.
