Wishing her the VERY best and keeping you guys in my thoughts.
It's not easy and I went through some medical stuff last year and did surgery as well. I'm nervous because i'm having some unusual bladder symptoms after an infection from two months ago. My urologist wants to do a procedure. I'm hoping for the best and not what I think it may be.

She assured me it's not likely and my colonoscopy was clean with the biopsies and my surgery was unrelated. She refereed me to the best Urologist in the hospital. Saw him, went over the entire ordeal, showed him my scans ect. He ran a few tests like urine and ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder. Everything was good. He said "see you in 6 months unless you're concern.." I saw him a few days ago because of noises that continue (mostly gas pains near my bladder) he ran another ultrasound and urine test, came back OK but now wants to see inside my bladder to rule out what I'm fearing. No date on the procedure. I told my wife I don't know why this is happening to me. I'm healthy, eat very clean and work out. Granted I gave the gym a break since the UTI but walk 3-4 miles every night. I just hope nothing was missed last year and I pray every night that it's nothing serious.

UTI for males is uncommon due to the length of our urethras. If you got a UTI and the source was internal(like from a bladder-intestinal fistula), then you probably would also be experiencing a utereral infection in the two tubes upstream from the bladder. Even kidney infections.
If its something like gas due to a fistula created between the bladder and intestine, then you would probably also be experiencing gas coming out from your urethra, typically during urination.
Have you had any prior surgery in your pelvic region?
Knowing what I know about you. Your a go getter who is nearly none stop. You are what some people call an "overachiever". You have very strong will power. Sometimes people with this amount of mental will power will push themselves to the point of thier body pushing back.

Do you trust car mechanics? How different are they than surgeons?
"The best in the hospital" is all relevent. If its a crummy hospital the best could be the other hospitals worst. "The best" is typically a buddy or a partner within thier practicing group.
"The best" could also be the best guy to handle people with ailments they cannot figure out. This is at times them kicking the can down the road.
Also dont trust those silly yelp-like medical reviews. The best place to go is the hospital that specializes in this area. If someone has an issue with thier brain they go to the hospital that specializes in it.
Do you know someone you trust outside the medical system that has ties within it? PM me if you want to take this offline.

If you are truely feeling like your body isnt functioning right or the way it used to, then it isnt. I would become so paranoid and hypochondriacal if that had happened to me. Sometimes the easiest solutions are the ones we overlook. Docs are more than willing to find a problem and take your money. This doesnt account for all, but the medical system incentives it.
I often catch the docs reminding me of used car salemen. "Lets do this easy procedure the hard way with added risk so I can get kickback dinners from the medical supply company and charge twice as much to thier insurance!" or "Lets do this hard procedure the easy way and not only not fix the issue, but create another one in the process"!
Its like when I needed the air out of my clutch fuild line removed and the dumbass tech damaged my intercooler while wrenching around the slave cylinder.
