Haha you guys are so ghey in here. Sick TLS I will call my car a him from now on. Will that make it better?
As for the pads yes they are brand new. Just inspected them today. Rotors have slight grooves in them that I can feel with my fingernail. I will have to pull them apart and check everything and possibly replace the rotors. Good reason to go Drilled and slotted

Hai guise.
Need snow tires naow. I expect troll responses but would be very happy if someone could give me some honest recommendations since everything in the tires/wheel section is biased.

What you don't want to get blizzaks. But they are the bomb yo!
What part of country do you live? How much snow are you planning on driving in?
My DWS's have gotten me around pretty good in the snow here but it doesn't snow enough to warrant a straight up snow tire.

Northern Ohio so I expect to see a pretty good amount of snow. I have Nitto Motivos right now but they don't really classify as a snow tire. More of a dry wet tire. I actually have Blizzaks right now but only 2 of them will last me another winter so I was going to either get a pair or a complete set of 4 tires.

Conti DWS are good.. not the best. Check out C&D's tire review a couple months ago.. wet, dry, snow.. they test the best. DWS was in the middle from what I remember.
I like turtles
Also from car and driver the tire in review looks to be a DW

I'll vouch for the DWS...I've had no issues with the New England winters and I'd buy them again. I can't offer any suggestions for a dedicated snow tire, however.

Shim, a she him?
I generally re-use my shims.
I just grease them up really good.
unless yours are bent.
shims usually come with brake pads.

with decent pads, you generally get new shims with them. If your going to go with new rotors anyway man just do the brakemotive setup. It comes with all new pads (with shims) and of course the rotors for like 220 shipped. You cant even get the stock blanks for that price without pads

That.
I'm trying to go sometime during the winter. My work schedule blows though so it's hard to find a week I can take off without having to let someone that's "less than competent" doing my work while I'm gone

Weren't you planning a trip with Dennis? Or did I make that up?

Haha all of these guys know you're gay too Glenn? I thought I was the only one that knew.
I do think that the monkeys they have working on cars at the dealership I purchased the car from did not put shims on any of the pads. So I guess I am stuck replacing the brand new pads just to get some shims? Or I will go the brakemotive route? I don't know. We shall see.

About brake pads, RacingBrake recommends no shims at all....they say "shims misguide the brake feel"....hence I dont have shims in the rear ![:O](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/embarrassment.gif)
and yeah Good Morning all....

i would have the recall prerformed before you do anything bro. Dealers have been replacing pumps because of failure due to the hoses and expecially the o ring. iirc, theres a tsb or maybe a recall on the o ring causing premature failure of the pumps
