Sucks for me. Everyone I know has spring break this coming week. But GMU is stupid for some reason and is always off by a week. So mine starts the 12th

George Mason student? A friend of mine is professor there and I guest speak in his classes once a year. Nice campus; I've been impressed with my visits there.

^ I start @ GMU this fall for my master's degree.

Anyway, I'm sick of this Virginia weather. Rain every day, warm one day and freezing the next. I'm headed back to Florida tomorrow.

Yup I am heading to Florida MAR. 12th for 2 weeks. Cant wait to get out of here and away from work for a couple weeks.

Not really a spring break but my brothers family is coming in from Hawaii that same time and we are all gonna hang out and get drunk on the beach.

GMU Ftl. It was my backup school lol and I didnt get in to VT or Jmu.

It's actually not a bad school. I'm just sick of it being under construction everywhere and parking is a PITA all the time. Tuition went up this past year too which sucks and parking permits used to be 225, then 250, now 275 annually. Can't wait to pay 300 next year

It's good for me cause I'm an economics major (BA) and we have some renowned professors and nobel prize winners so the Econ program is pretty legit.

Definitely not a party school though lol. I live 3 miles from campus so I commute and spend as little time as possible on campus haha

GMU is predominantly a commuter campus anyway, so there not going to be much in the way of social activities that would be typical of a major college campus (big D-I sports, frats, etc...plus you'r older than the typical undergrad student). do they even have on campus student housing?? if so how many students does it accomodate?

Haha the age on my username is wrong. I'm 21

Yeah they just built a ton of new buildings for dorms last year. There's a lot of people from southern va "the 757" but not a whole lot of out of state people.

It's funny cause "the 757" is full of northern va students going to ODU and "the 703" is full of people from "the 757" going to mason lol.

fix your b-day!!!

there still isn't a big "scene" in fairfax for college students to congregate. blacksburg...is VT, like charlottesville is UVA. fairfax....um....no. as a county is one of the wealthiest in the US, but college town USA it is not.

get used to the construction. that's all we had when i went to college in cali. lots of earthquake retrofitting to the campus buildings.

You can't change your bday once it's been entered. You have to contact an Admin to fix it for you.

Wait, I'm confused.
After you got your car back, you hit a manhole cover and scratched the front subframe?
Then took the car back for problems with the rear that they didn't fix from the first accident, and they were claiming the old (rear) damage was done when you crashed again (manhole)?
Is that right?

Funny how they found a solution for you after you agreed to pay another deductible. See if that solution will work at another shop, and get your car outta there.

Just out of curiosity, how bad is the new damage, is it only a scratch on the bottom of the car that no one will see?

Today I learned that working with a 5 foot piece of vinyl close to the ground by yourself is not a good idea. $20 lesson.

Hi all, for those who remember the discussion with Waltah a few pages back about the TL and his former G8.... Well for some reason that lit a fire in me and I shopped around, long story short I ended up trading in the TL (stupid but I'm not patient enough for private sale) and picked this up:

Thanks Waltah!!

Edit: Got free lifetime oil changes (damn good cause this thing holds 8.8 quarts), lifetime engine guarantee, free loaner cars, warranty extended 45,000 miles, and two new tires out of the deal

How much and what did they credit you on the trade? Is the lifetime warranty on just the engine or whole powertrain and is it just with that dealership (national / independent dealer)? This is a biggie. Otherwise sounds like a good deal. Lifetime oil changes would be worthless in my case. Only the best goes oil filter gets put in mine.

Congrats on the purchase though. Hope you have fun with it. Enjoy the $5 / gal.
