It's funny because to everyone watching.. Cavic fucking won. There was no fucking way Phelps won. Cavic beat Phelps in the prelim heats and had a good lead on the last split to the wall.. but Cavic stretched his last stroke to the wall where Phelps did a half stroke lunge to out touch Cavic by 0.01s.
This was in Beijing '08 Olympics.
It's ironic because in the 200M fly in London.. Phelps was in a good lead but stretched to the wall.. his opponent did a half stroke lunge and beat him by hundredths of a second as well. The reaction of his mom.. like.. he won.. he won.. oh, 2nd? is classic.
