ive been having horrible luck with my car

Sunday, I woke up early to work on the lower tranny mount.
ive had the car on jack stands for two weeks, and had the hood up for all of those two weeks.
Sat. night, i closed the hood.
woke up sunday morning, and thought my hood was stuck..

messed with the latch and the spring connecting it to the cable release fell out.
then i realized that I didnt pull the hood release from inside the car...enabling it USELESS.

the latch is connected to the frame by three bolts.
once these are out, the hood opened with the latch attached. the only thing left was the cable connecting it to the handle inside the car. i raised the hood enough to where i could see the latch and a flick of a screw driver released the latch from the hood.

then, while trying to take off the nut on the tranny mount from the subframe, i rounded it off. fml

majofo, I TORE the freaking LOWER tranny mount......

6MT is too powerful

this also goes back to my accident. I had two claims for one accident.
the first claim, I did not recieve the car in original working order.
2nd claim, i took it to my own shop. but he was only authorised to finish what the other shop missed.

my friend told me that the first shop bragged to him "we saw a mount broken but didnt replace it"

I had a decent weekend.. Helped my boy put in laminate click flooring. Went to a 90's dance mix and saw Zoolander at Alamo. Some fucking 12 year old came up for a dance-off.. I'm like.. bitch.. you were 1 when this movie came out. You don't even know who Fred Douche is...

I felt bad for her.. host asked her for her fav quote from the movie.. :crickets:

the point on the subframe on where this nut is, its uneven...
so i think the shop used air tools and torqued it too much.

i used a breaker bar and 12 point 14mm socket. but since its not flat, its at an angle...the 12 point just kept spinning.....rounding it off.
i still cant fit a 13mm on it...tho...so my plan of attack is to get a cheap air impact gun.

if not, the whole subframe will have to come off....askdjfadfasdjfadjfasdjfl;kdsajfklsadjfklasj klfaskl;dfjnakldsnfaf

its a nut, not a bolt.

its a stud pressed into the mount pointed down, then a nut screws in from below the subframe

will the bolt extractor still apply!~??~?~? ?

6-point only.. and only if it's square on the nut.

Get this.. and buy yourself some impact sockets and a regular 6-point socket set up to 32mm.. but 10 - 10mm sockets as well. You can never have too many.

i like the pcd's. Not a huge fan of the rasp but its not horrible and it doesnt do it all the time. Its only under heavy acceleration at 3300-3800 rpm. i dont mind it. the sound having the cats out makes the biggest difference. I love the way my car sounds in the morning when i remote start it! louder than the fiancees g35 now

you have the same rasp i have justin? does it seem like the rasp sound originates from where the pcd's are in the engine bay or is it strictly out the back of the car on yours?

from the front.

i believe the sound from 3k is a rattle. and not rasp.
I've heard that Richies jpipes need to be slightly adjusted with cardboard before tightening everything down.

anything from 4K on up is rasp.

this is what I believe anyway.

If I let off the gas pedal and let the rpm's come down...at about 3.5k is when it will start to rattle.
try it, and report back.

My balls itch.

Justin - Sorry to hear about all the car troubles. I seem to have bad luck when something breaks on a car since its not usually a small thing, it just snowballs.
