Charles, how are you getting all that info? I really didn't think photobucket would hold all the editing and detail in the photo.

But if you go into your account, open a picture and look at the right side, theres a collapsible box that shows the data there too.

yes you do.
I'm surprised the class you took didnt teach you about exif.
its a really easy tool to see how others shot a particular shot.
it gives information about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO's.
so if you see an amazing shot, quickly glance at the exif data and you'll know how they set up the cam

No settings are ever the same a scene can change very quickly. And it's best to experiment with different settings, never snap one pic and walk away.
Do you n00bs know how to make a blank post?
so, you're telling me...that if you see an amazing picture on the web. you save it to your computer and bring it up into adobe bridge, just to see the info!??!? lmao.
EXIF data is used as a tool.
quickly glance at the exif data on a shot, to see how the other person set up the cam.
nothing more nothing less.
blah!
random thread turns into photg thread
some people disable EXIF because they don't want people to know what settings they used. :shady:
btw hi everyone I'm Brian. And I'm bored at work.

continue to be ignorant.
your age is showing!!!
its used as a tool, a guide.
NOT "OH THIS IS THE SETTING YOU HAVE TO USE."
Undying's photos of his car was super washed out.
I bet he could fix it, if he studied other peoples set ups.

This is what I used. Sold all of it sadly
One of my close friends just traded his 60D for a 5D III. Got to play around with it yesterday.. I miss my 5D dearly. If only I could rob a bank.. then I could..

You can't look at someone elses photo and say "oh he shot it like this, let me copy those settings and see how it looks". Lighting is never the same, especially shooting outside.

Well with what Brian just said, he is completely right. I could take a photo and edit it beyond it's true form to make it appear it has different settings and you'd never know. Exif doesn't show what changes you've done with your editing software.
