If you're financially set to jump from one car to another (especially a Type-S) I'd say do it.
But if you just want an A-Spec it's easy to add A-Spec options, suspension, sterring wheel is kinda rare but possible or can be done custom, wheels are attainable and the lip kit obviously can be done.
Keep in mind though, getting a Type-S means more $$ per payment and more payments in general (if you finance).
But if you can find the right Type-S that is a good price and good condition, dew eet.

I appreciate your input, you may be young but you seem to have your shit together from what I can tell. I'm 26, live alone, and only debt I have is my home and the TL. When I bought what I had, I bought because I liked the color and the price. I had a choice between the car I have now, and a same year TL a-spec with 20k less miles. The reason for picking this one, with more miles at the same price, the a-spec had damage to every piece of body. Rims all rashed up and interior looked, well, rough. Looking back, I probably could have low balled the shit out of the dealer with the a-spec and turned it around for what I've got in the current car. Oh well.

Live and learn, I told my mom the same thing. I knew I was getting screwed buying this TL but I really really wanted it and it was a NBP with ebony interior, I just had to have it. So it was, let it go and keep hunting or get this now with this epic color combo and Navi.

Yeah it happens, I guess I could say the same, I love the TL but instead of looking for a newer car, I strive to better the TL itself by modding it.
It's always that way though, you have money to spend and you want to treat yourself, just gotta hold back and wait for something better
