2008 TL Headlamp Bulb p/n
Having some trouble finding a replacement bulb for my 2008 TL. Anyone know the part number please?
Driver's side is completely out. Hoping to replace from the top. Would rather remove the battery than remove fender well liner or front bumper. Thank you.

There should be small torx screw holding the access cover. I think it's easier to drop bumper than fight with headlight on the car. And then when having the whole headlight outside you have less risk of damaging anything or seating the bulb incorrectly.
Anyways, any D2S HID bulb from respectable brand will do fine. Osram CBB or CBI are usually recommended on here. I have 2 sets of CBB on my car.

Note if you drop the bumper, you should replace both sides because you're already there and the other bulb is no younger.
If you only do the driver side, you'll want to match the color temp of what I assume is still the factory installed bulb on the passenger side (4300k).

Ballast or igniter. Leave the bulbs and igniters where they are and swap the ballasts between sides. If the problem follows the ballast, then that's the culprit. If it stays on the same side, then it's the igniter.
Another good reason to drop the bumper: It's not always the bulb.

Thanks for the info.
I did this bulb replacement from the top. I will pull the bumper and try your method. The bumper has to be pulled to replace the igniter and ballast anyway, correct? I am assuming you cannot get to these 2 from the top or wheel well.

The ballasts is installed on the bottom of the headlight assembly so no , not accessible without dropping bumper

I need to change out headlight ballast and igniter on driver's side. Do I need to remove screws from bottom part of bumper and the passenger side? Just need enough room to get headlight assembly out. THanks!
