Hi guys,

I have a 2008 Acura TL Navi, and was wondering if it had that range indicator thing for fuel, where it tell you the miles until empty?

Couldn't seem to find it and saw that the 2004 and 2005 TL's had it.


Does the 08 TL have this option??? Thanks!

 

Yep, go to the info screen (mile per gallon, average speed etc) and then press the down button and its there.

Although I wish I didn't have to keep on scrolling to it every time I restart the car.

 

It is useless anyway. Mine shows "0 range" with 3 gallons in the tank.

 

Agreed, very inaccurate...like when the low fuel light comes on with 4 gallons left, WTF? Guess that is better than 4 tenths left.

 

I like it, better than going, "Oh I'll be fine." -2 miles later-

"Shit, out of gas."

 

I try to always fill up before the light comes on.

Who knows, one of your family members could suddenly be in the hospital and you have to drive there or to the airport, and that 5 minutes that you spent filling up on gas could be critical.

I know, horrible situation that's highly unlikely, but its not impossible.

 

As long as it is Acura we will make anything positive.

In my 23 years of driving experience I've never ran out of gas even without range indicator.

As I drive to work every day I see a lot of different cars non-Acuras being stranded along side of the road due to have very accurate equipment but out of gas.

By the way is Acura for stupid drivers than?
