Auto-dimming side mirrors

Just curious if the '07-08 TL/TL-S had the auto-dimming side view mirrors?

Recently, I find me being blinded by traffic next to me with my windows down. I may need to re-adjust them, however just wondering if it was a built-in feature?

They are tinted to cut down on glare. But they do not auto dim like the rear view inside the car.

Thanks everyone.

Is it possible that the blue tint can wear out after a few years? It could be just be me but I feel like I get a lot of glare.

It's possible to replace the mirrors.

Might seem strange, but how do you adjust your mirrors? If you adjust them so you can see some of the side of your car while you are in your driving position, they are adjusted incorrectly. If you lean over about 6-8 inches and adjust the mirror so you can see the side of your car, they are adjusted properly and you will have A) minimal blind spot B) Little to no glare. I read this tip in a car magazine a long time ago, and have adjusted my mirrors this way ever since. I have had several of my friends adjust their mirrors this way and they can't believe the difference.

Yes, currently the driver side mirror is adjusted where I can see the side of my car. For the passenger side, I have them all the way out as I've heard this is the best way to check your blind spot(s)?

I don't have pictures right now (will take some soon), but yes, the tint can wear out. You'll notice it, though; it'd look like someone wiped some sort of brown liquid on your mirrors that you can't get off no matter how hard you try. I haven't had glare problems though, probably because I have them adjusted a certain way.

Thats from leaving the heated mirrors on for too long...

on how to properly adjust mirrors. Takes some time to get used to, but it is amazing once you get used to it.

The only 'annoying' part of that video is that it doesn't account for my auto-tilt down feature that I use to help me part :P Good tips though, I will adjust them tomorrow morning and give it a shot.

Hmm, guess my mirrors are wrong, but people should still check their blind spot no matter how they are set up. This new fad of blind spot indicators will just make people think its clear when its not lit up and never check the spot :/
