4" tips?

Thinking of getting 4" single beveled double wall magnaflow tips for my base bumper. Been searching through the tip threads and the craze all seems towards dual tips, but I think they look crowded in the base bumpers. Anyone have 4" tips? Too much? Here's a link to the specific ones I'm looking at.

I believe he's talking about a single tip on the base, not a dual Type-S tip.

OP, I would look for pictures of the Comptech exhaust, as I believe that will look very similar to what you're trying to do (I don't recall the Comptech tip size offhand).

Yah, doubles in a type-s bumper. Its the singles I'm having trouble finding.

Ehh looks a little too big

Takes away from the luxury look. Makes it look like a rice burner.

The tip itself doesn't look bad, but I don't think it will flow well with the bumper. Dual tips look good cause it fills out the bumper nicely. A single round tip won't look right paired with the square cutout of the bumper, no matter how big the tip is.

For a single tip to look right, it will have to look something like the ATLP base exhaust. Magnaflow makes a square tip as well that looks similar to the ATLP, but it is a bit more "squished" looking.

I was originally going to put these on my car, but changed my mind and just put the stock base tips back on.

Yah, that is sort of the issue with the base bumper. Too small for duals. I haven't seen a clean looking square tip that is large enough. I ran across the ovals as well, but IMHO they don't fit the shape of the cutout particularly well either. Its a weird trapezoidal shape. Such an odd duck to find something that really fits well. Changing to the type-s bumper solves that, but its way more money than I want to spend on it.

I did the same thing as above after taking my quad tips off. The stock tips really are some of the best looking tips I've seen on any car. They flow really well with the base bumper and look just as great with the A-Spec lip installed, especially when you have them extended out so they don't look sunk in.
