2007 TL Type S 6MT maintenance schedule

I've searched on google, Acura websites, and AZ and can't find what I'm looking for. All I find is at maintenance minder A or B you check the oil or so on. I want to know from mile 1 to mile 500,000 what Acura recommends to do at what miles. I have 97,000 miles on my manual 2007 type s and know that the water pump and timing belt is coming up. I recently bought the car and want to do everything I can maintenance wise. I'm not sure what the previous owner has done to the car so if you all have any opinions on what I should do just for preventative maintenance let me know! Thanks guys!

I'm not being a smart ass, but were the owners manuals not included in the car for whatever reason? Those state all recommended maintenance for your vehicle.

If your unsure what the previous or original owner has done then just pretend they have done nothing. Change the engine oil. I prefer M1 5w/20 and oem filter. If you want to change the tranny fluid it's a very simple job and I recommend using the GM synchromesh friction modified fluid. The stuff works wonders and you will read literally hundreds of posts on it. Besides that, just get the 105k service done at 105,000 miles and you should be good.

What do you think about the power steering fluid, brake fluid, and things like that? Worth doing or should I just wait until my mechanic says I should change them out?

As has already been asked, did you read the owner's manual? Per Acura, there is no interval for PS fluid. Brake fluid is every 3 years.

to add...if your PS fluid is dirty or your steering feels off...then change it. as mentioned before there is no interval.

otherwise, your MID will alert you to what needs to be done to the car. mileage intervals are a rough estimate of when things should be done and unofficial since there aren't any mileage intervals in the OM.

Timing belt w/water pump and all tensioners
Spark plugs
Valve adjustment
Oil change
Trans fluid
Brake fluid

Check air filter and cabin filter, replace as needed.

+1

Coolant flush but that's with waterpump

Check your clutch fluid level; takes most people years in any car to know it's there & or it's low...

Transmission fluid is scheduled to be changed at 90,000 miles and every 30,000 miles after that some people do it more frequent...

brake fluid is easy to check..

does it look like sweet tea? Change it next month

Does it look like a stout? change it yesterday.

Does it look near clear? you're good.

Engine and cabin air filters wouldn't hurt, unless you know they've been recently changed.

Other than all that, get the car up on a lift and give it a good look over, make sure everything looks good, no leaks, dents etc. also check where you park after an overnight stay to see if any leaks, other than normal from A/C.

Then drive, enjoy and start modding
