I have been trying to get them for 2 weeks but Acura won't release them to my dealer yet. My parts guy says he can't order them from the computer system yet.

 

I want the Chinese tail lights too. Does the Chinese version use AMBER colored lights for the turn signal ? How do we get an amber bulb ? Can we order the amber bulb and install the amber bulb too ?

 

I saw a close pic of Type-S tail, and by looking at the image, it looks like the turn signal portion can be cleared. I can't find that image anymore it seems that piece is just like the amber portion of the front turn signals.

 

Has anyone heard anything about the availability of the taillights?

 

Acura usually has a very good stock for parts, but my Acura dealer said they are not in stock yet bc the new TL's are too new. They should be in stock within a month or so. They are $700 for the pair from Acura and I think it'll require some bumper adjustments bc the 07's bumpers are a little different.

The tails are not 700$ a pair. they are 131$ each for the housings.

You guys think this looks better or the smoked ones? I got smoked ones right now... Same for my side markers... Should I get the clear ones or keep the smoked ones I got now? I just cant decide what will look better.

 

I think the Type-S tails are the best looking for the TL. I am also doing all black chrome trim so I really want the Black chrome housings to match everything. I am also considering doing a combination of the type S tails and a smoked look. I want to take the type s tails apart and tape off the black chrome housing and spray tint the red lenses then put the clear outer lens back on. Maybe someone could photoshop the look I dont have photoshop on my computer.

 

that's the pic I saw. it looks like the turn signal reflector/cover can be removed/cleared.

 

wow i cant believe i started out this thread. im glad we got all these hits. ive been reading the posts and hopefully we can get these lights to fit.

 

If Acura ever lets my dealer order them I will let you know if they fit.

 

damn, I'm borderline recanting what I've said about the clear tail lights on NBP. I'm going to stop looking at the 07 pics for peace of mind.
