2007 tail lights type s
i know when the type s comes out. we would be able to purchase the tailights and blinking mirrors. anyone thinking of replacing thier 04-06 tailights/blinking mirrors with the 07 type s tail lights /blinking mirrors?
Guys if your interesed I plan on send the stock sets out on the 2007 TL Mirrors to get duplicated. I should have them within 3-4 months after release. I should be able to cut Retail price in half and they will be 100% duplicated. I am throwing this idea around so let me know if its something you would want to do.

Yeah, from what I've seen so far I'm not a big fan of the new side mirrors. Don't forget, we will have some rewiring to do to get the blinkers to work. Could be quite a hassle. (Of course maybe not too much more than getting the sidemarkers to blink)
I plan to swap my tail lights with those of s 07 TL-S, as well as swap out the rear side markers (they're smoked to match to the fronts in 2007)...
It looks completely plug and play.
A quick parts study show the rear tail housings (pair) are $260 (for a 2006), and you'd have to transfer the LED module from your existing lights over to the new housings. This of course assumes the older LED fixtures will fit in the new housing... if not you're looking at anotehr $260 in LED fixtures.
My guess is the housing will be around $300 a pair for the housings, and another $300 for the LED fixtures (if we need them)... $$$
The rear side markers are $140 a pair as well (2006), so I'd suspect we'll be able to replace them for nearly that price.
Heeltoe, I look forward to see what you come up with, and how competitve your pricing will be with OEM parts.

Smart idea, we need more savvy buisnesspeople like you who can identify an obvious need in the market and see easy opportunity. You're standing out from the crowd who saturate us with wheels, spoilers etc. which have had competition. Find some niche of what people want and they will sell like hotcakes!! Here's another idea supercomputers; find a way to market a mesh grille with a floating symbol. People will buy. Your pedals are great btw.

Ok guys I am on it. I will as soon as I can get my hands on 07 Mirrors send them out to Germany to get speced up. I will have my electric expert out there take a look at what is involved. Unless this is an easy Plug and play I may not want to get into it. But from a few conversations it should be a pretty easy ad. Thanks for the props on the pedals they are selling well and all the installs look great. As soon as I can get you more info I will but keep in mind this process will take us 3-4months so please be patient.
Rocky PM me what you had in mind on a Grill we will see what we can do. Like I always say it doesnt hurt to try.

The 2007 S-type grille is a big improvement and there looks to be a mesh on it instead of a ribs. Everybody is talking about the mugen style though. The OEM won't ever reach production, butI bet a lot of forum members would buy it if it was ever offered. This would be a very easy design to mas produce. Take a poll and see if it's a worthwhile venture for you. I bet many would want this as the car's grille really can enhance the front-end appearance.
I want to get the side mirrors and the headlights of the 07 type-s. The reasone I want to get the headlights is because I think it would be easy to put on angel eyes on the projectors, but other than that I like the 05 headlights better

still looks good but just doesnt look as classy and its starting to bugg me. i kinda like the red lens and the red sidemarker. if i were to switch out the tails, i would also have to switch out the sidemarker.

I'm actually wanting to do the headlights, taillights, and rear sidemarkers from the Type-S. Those headlights will save a lot of people from having to go through the blackout process. All in all, I think those 3 things give the TL a much more aggressive and sportier look.

You guys are aware that a set of headlight housings (which does not inlclude the ballast or bulbs), is almost $900

You may score a set o ebay in a FEW YEARS, after the market saturates a bit...
Suddenly $150 for headlight clearing doesn't seem so expensive.
