I'm thinking about trading my '04 TL (RRP, Navi, Chrome EOM Rims, 14K miles) for an '06 TL Navi. Does anyone know what the color changes (if any) will be for the 2006's?

I've been shopping around for a TL, and I have been told that the green is discontinued for next year by at least 3 salesman. One of the salesman said that he thinks they'll add another blue color, but who knows if that is really true or not. I guess we'll just have to wait a few months to find out the truth about the 06's.

Just recieved the color chart for 06 model TL and there are a couple new colors:


Alabaster Silver/Quartz

Alabaster Silver/Ebony

Royal Blue/Quartz

Royal Blue/Ebony

Silver Metallic and Abyss Blue are being replaced by these-all other colors are unchanged. Also no different configurations available:ie Type S.

Yeah, how much can you really change silver anyways? Maybe the blue will be different than the current, perhaps a bit lighter so it doesnt look as dark like the black? Dont really know.

I wouldn't call the '06 TL in its mid-life just yet. Inside and out visually is superb still, nothing looks out of date. There still probably will be added features, just have to wait and see...

Looks like Ill be getting a Royal Blue/Quartz in early 07 when I can get out of mine...

Abyss was too dark, I love the blue on the TSX, hoping Royal Blue is similar.

Thanks ron, but they give a sketchy answer. It says yellow or silver-yellow, or translucent gypsum. So does this silver have a tinge of yellow in it(sort of like some of the old people colors?)

Cool... 2G got the Type-S line after a couple of years, and 3G gets new paint!

Anyway, silver CAN change a lot. i.e. check out Saab's Parchment Silver - It's a sweet blend of ivory pearl white and silver metallic...

A piece of alabaster rock. Theres a few different color shades of the mineral, but this one matched the most from what I'd think "Alabaster Silver" would look like.

You mean a FEW years. Couple denotes 2. The type-S came out after 3 years, in the cars 4th model year.

Honda/Acura traditionally does the MMC in the 4th model year. The TL will be starting its 3rd model year for 06, but that doesn't mean they won't do a early (spring) release of the 07 model. If you remember the 01 model year was a short one when they reskinned the TL and brought the 02 (including Type S) out in the spring.

Personally I hope they bag the "Type S" and "A Spec" titles (as they are cheesy sounding) and come out with a Sport package. I can't imagine seeing a BMW doing a 330i Type S or an Audi A4 A Spec. A simple SPORT title will be fine. Alright, now everyone blast me as they live and breath by their Type S's.

You know, I'm starting to think you guys are a little harsh on the kid...he's still in high school...they don't require kids to spell correctly until college these days...if the teachers marked up the kids' papers with all of the spelling and grammatical errors in them (which is amazing they still have with spelling and grammar checkers), the kids' self esteem would be hurt, and we can't have that! There's even a push to stop using red pens as it is seen as negative!

Now, the new colors...silver's silver...eh...I am interested in the blue, though...royal blue...hopefully it's not a garish blue...while ABP is rather dark, it is a very classy color...it looks good.

Sounds like speculation as Pierce said all other colors are the same. Shame too, WDP/EB would be hot.

indeed it would. i do love the WDP the best on the TL, but i do not care for the stone or parchment interior. i currently have a maxima that is Pearl white with tan leather....i love it, but want somthing new
