Are there going to be any changes in the 06' TL
I own a 04 TL Antracite w/ Quartz, love the car. But I was wandering if anyone has heard anything about the 06' TL, and if there are any changes to it.

2006 Tl
Does anyone know when the 2006 will be released and what changes acura is planning on making? After reading many posts, I thought it might be best to wait for the update to get all the noise issues out.

If he's a salesman, he doesn't know jack. Continental's service department is great, their sales staff is a different story.

Acura typically doesn't even release anything about their next MY until around July/August. We have to wait to find out. The people that do know, all signed NDA's. Salesmen don't know that type of stuff until right before we do.

I totally agree, I bought my TL from them...as you probably know by now from my other posts. Did you buy your TL from them?

` . ' . SUV haterrr
Talked to a dealer yesterday. He says that 2006 will arrive in November. Of course, his access to information isn't much better than ours, but they still accept factory orders on 2005s, which means that 2005 will be manufactured fro at least two months from now.

The New TL?
Hey, whats up? I have a 02 TL Type S right now and I love it. Are there any rumors for a Type S or Aspec coming out in 2006? I am intersted in trading my car in and getting the newer TL, however I will only buy one if they have a newer special model out. Any info. or pics would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jas

Thats one of the few rumors I havent had about the 06. Although it is still more powerful stock then the 02 type S. You can always go the way of Aspec, the body kit and suspension will shave a few tenths of a second of ur 0-60.

Also, the Type-S weighs about 150lbs less than the new TL, resulting in the Type-S getting a better quarter mile time.
Since there doesn't seem to be anything coming for the '06 model, we will probably extend the lease on our '03 for another year.

Since when does a body kit shave time off your 0-60???

Yep, I plan to keep my TL for a LONG time. I hope Acura doesn't do anything drastic like put the SH-AWD in it and up the HP to 300. I will be ! My sales person told me that they don't plan to make any major changes until 2009.
I wonder what it would look like if they brought the CL back and modeled it after the 3G TL.

Not a Blowhole
I wouldn't expect much of any benefit from a body kit for acceleration 0-60. The impact of air resistance usually has little effect at that speed - it rises as the square of the speed higher up though, until its effect is so large that moving from, say, 180 mph to 200 mph can require nearly twice the power!
If a body kit adds weight, it may actually cause a loss in acceleration below hgih speeds, esp if fatter tires go with the package. Fatter tires increase the cD.

Burning Brakes
I saw the pixs at Temple VTEC. Sorry Honda, it's still ugly. My last car was a 2002 Accord V6. I picked it up around the time the new style came out. I had a chance to get one and stayed with the old version. Glad I did. It was ugly back then and it's still ugly now.

I strongly feel that if good sense prevails and they step up to change a few things. TL will truly be a BMW-3 beater.
1. Aggressive front grill design
2. Better Paint quality.
3. Better Tire life.
4. Less rattling.
5. AWD
6. Key remote
7. Improve the leather quality.
8. Optional DVD player for the back passenger
9. Add an optional hybrid and that will be the killing punch.
10. Bump the price by $2-3000.00 if needed( plus options).
