Really, what do you think Acura will do for their 06 line up. Do you think Acura is going to do anything different for the TL in 06? I know this is early, but... 06 will be out mid next year, and 05 is just about here.

it'll be the same upgrades theyve been doing for years and years. every 4 years (more or less) is a completely new model. every 2 years (again, more or less) they do minor changes. usually they change something about the tail lights, and headlights, and they add miscellaneous technological features, also of course some sort of a redesign of the wheel design. they may also introduce some sort of a higher performance model as well (like the type s was introduced in 2002). it'll generally be the same car but likely better. just think of the 1999-2001's vs 2002-2003's. the changes will be similar. cant wait. i sure hope its better than the 2004/2005 cause i'm still not impressed with the current models. i think they're nice, but they are missing a little something that i hope will be sorted out on the '06 model. i think they should bring in a 6 speed manual transmission, 2 door sports coupe version of the tl (like the 3 series bmw), to replace the cl. time will tell...

Yeah, I didn't exactly mean a complete face lift. But rather what sebounet2005 said, with maybe some fog lamps, or blinker mirrors like the RL. Stuff like that... less the 10hp comment.

Turn sigs in the mirrors would be nice. They already have fog lamps though, unless you live in Canada.
HP is just fine for me. If I need more, I get in my NSX.
I not really to concerned about what they do for the next few years though because I don't plan on trading/selling mine that soon.

There on a 5 year cycle. It's the 4th year that the car will get a facelift. I seriously doubt we will see AWD on this model. You'll have to wait until 2009. I also don't think we'll see turn-signal lights on the mirrors. The car already has side marker lights and it would excessive to have both.

I think they'll redo the backlights, maybe put a clear strip on them like what the last TL had. Maybe they'll get rid of that stupid 'Acura' imprint on the front bumper, add more horsepower, change the rims, make the Nav system standard and include NavTraffic. I can't see much more than that.

Taken out of context, it does look like a dumb statement.

Taken the way he meant it, that he wants a 6MT 2door coupe version of the TL, it makes sense.

i think the aspec package will include performance upgrades of lik 10 hp or a whole notha model to the tl lineup lik the g35X just my 2cents

type s... sad to say it wont happen.... perhaps a engine upgrade for a-spec packages - but i highly doubt it... it must cost a fortune for the R&D to be able to do this under warranty...

but the other features ill probably be kicking myself in the ass... the side mirror blinkers i dont care that mucha bout...but the keyless go and navtraffic I WANT!!!

way 2 early... 05 just came out... sure there are rumors / or what people want to see... but there are no facts and wont be any for a while...

Yeah I totally agree, this car would be so much more valuable to me if it had AWD, but for not it's sitting in the garage while there is snow and ice on the ground here.

i think they will introduce the AWD on the TL maybe 2007. They already introduced it in the RL.. So i dont think they will take until 2009 for AWD platform...

What i think Acura should do and this is where they are lacking alot is having more options on the cars. Lexus has a lot of options and types.. Ex. GS300 Gs400 Gs430, BMw 325 328 330. THese cars have many types for different needs.

Like AWD or RWD and maybe keep FWD.as an option (if hp increases then it might be hard to handle at the front)

or like 270hp 285hp 300hp

or 2 door or 4 door...

Then the TL can make everyone happy..

By 2006 or 07 i can see them adding foglights and a clear strip on taillights. A minor facelift. Just the same like they did from 2001 to 2002.

Also, is the SH-AWD you guys are talking about the same sort of SH that is on Honda Preludes of old? I have one that I am selling and haven't found a car that matches its handling(the S2000 comes close, and some say its better, but not I) and I would love the TL exponentially more!

btw, where I am coming from here is I have done tons of research on 03 and 04 cars (because thats what I will be buying in two years when i move back) and the TL is what I have set my heart on, and have every figure and stat and rating and award to back me up that I could ever want!!
