Not trying to sell work as I already have a full time job in another profession as well and do not need more work but I love to help people out close to me as driving 8+ hours one way seems pointless.
Wish you lived in Orlando, I'd gladly pay for some help with mine.

Its not an offer. Just letting you and anyone else know I work on these and can do anything to them. Just seems kind of far to travel to do a T belt job.

Have fun with your vacation!

Yup. It was stamped on the oil pump which I now believe is leaking. I have to go back in! Is the oil pump seal number 3 in your pic? Is that frigging little seal causing my problem!?

I'll include a pic. Can someone confirm with me that I have an oil pump AND VTEC solenoid leak?

Yes. A parts manager at Turnersville automall in NJ. Just southeast of Philadelphia. As I said a mere five posts up. Congrats, you can read.

Yes. She can hook me up with just about anything from any manufacturer, as they have them all there at their auto mall. BMW, Acura, etc, etc.

Yes. I will be paying one of the techs on the side but will be dropping the car off at the actual dealership. I assume, like most, each tech has their own bay and most shop managers allow them to do work there when not on the clock.

What you're trying to show is why would I order parts online and not just get hooked up with OEM parts from the dealer? So you're probably thinking I'm lying, why would anyone do such a thing. What you're missing is you don't have a fucking clue what cost for these parts are. So you're erroneously assuming that a hookup on OEM would be anywhere close to the price of these Gates/Aisin kits. That is folly but I expect no more from you.

I will be going the direction 94eg! posted a couple pages back.

$58 -
Aisin BTH-001 OEM Timing Belt Tensioner Aisin BTH-001 OEM Timing Belt Tensioner

$54 -
Gates TCK329 Timing Belt Component Kit Gates TCK329 Timing Belt Component Kit

Then I'll be getting the OEM pump from her with her discount along with a few random parts like the side mirror glass and a new center console cup holder.

As for you, I'm tired of reading your words, I can't even fathom what they would sound like coming out of your fucking mouth. Ignored.

LOL...I read through and caught the same thing. Didn't make sense to me but I had no doubts Chad would find a way to make it all make sense, on his end.

I'm actually shocked you're paying someone to do this service, Chad. If I could handle it, you could probably do it in 4 or 5 hours...especially if you aren't doing the valve job.

If he's blocked how are you able to know when to repost that gif?

I guess I still don't understand the internets.

It still shows they post you just can't read what they say. I'd rather them just not exist at all but whatever. I've ignored like five people in the past month or two. Sometimes I'll hit a page and can see only half the posts. LOL

And hey if I can save some money I'm going to. Even if it's just a couple hundred bucks or less.

As for the work, man, I just don't like wrenching anymore. I'll work on the house all day long but fucking with a rusted on stripped bolt underneath a car? Not my thing anymore.

Anyway......... my small reason for venturing back to this dismal part of Acurazine has come to an end. Thanks for the parts research 94eg!

Hmmm... was able to see that 94 was owed the $10. Something tells me 2 can play at that game!

LOL...
I get it Chad...I only worked on the silver S2000 with rust and I never factor that in...since we don't get rusty down here. I totally get not wanting to deal with that!

I once got a handjob in high school science class. I got too nervous and couldn't finish.

Plus, his callouses were starting to chaff me.

Just joined Acurazine - This is a great writeup for 105K (Major) Maintenance Stop. I have a '04 Acura TL, purchased new looking a DIY or (mortgaging) to have a Dealer Back Shop do the work. I am mechanically minded and experienced. Any comments.
Thanks to Majofo and all. Be safe out there. JayB in CT.

Eric Cole from South Main Auto just posted a timing belt job using an Aisin kit on a 3.5 Pilot, which is just about identical as TL and Accord,

I probably COULD handle this job if I truly wanted to, but I'd rather just get it over with and let someone else handle it. Is that a bad thing?

I have to buy the parts for this in the next two-three weeks. Joe, I trust you because you have nude pics of me, where can I find OEM parts for this job?

Your help is appreciated sir!

I'll have to go through these pages and see what needed (or should) be replaced at this time, unless you want to make it up to me and get that list to me.

I've been slowly resorting my 89 CRX Si with parts from OEMAcuraParts.com. If you are good at the internets, there are also connections into the Canadian and Japanese supply chains (which are different from the US). Helps to find some discontinued parts. This isn't a big deal with the TL now, but it will be.

Holy shiitake! I need to get myself one of those 19mm mumbo jumbo sockets for when I do my timing belt. That bolt came off so easily with that thing! I heard that the crank bolt is pretty much the only hardest thing about doing the timing belt on the 3G TL and the rest is a breeze.

Has less to do with the socket than it does with the gun. That socket is sweet, but overkill. A decent impact socket + a gun that will flip the car if it doesn't pop the CP bolt will do the trick.

I have had to resort to using a torch on stubborn Acura / Honda crankshaft pulley bolts . It seems like the bolts on the CCW series B-xx engine are the worst. I may try one of these sockets as they cost about $ 25.00.
