Agreed, hence my comment above about him buying an inferior transmission.

not same transmission, turns out it’s an 06 oddessey
3.5 trans. Only roadblock installing was range sensor was different had to move harness over for compatibility. Other than that bolted on perfectly.

Unless your new transmission is a BAYA, then it is inferior. It cannot be any simpler than that.

It all depends on what you are doing. the trans capacity (from bone dry) is 7.6 qts? may very slightly (+/- .1 qts ) based on year I believe OR 3.1 qts when changing. If you are swapping a trans that came from another car, then there is definitely some fluid in there, and you best bet is to start off with somewhere between 3.1 and 6, run it a bit drain, refill with 3.1, drive it, drain and refill with 3.1 once more.

The first time you drain it will put you right at the mark where you need to replace only 3.1 any consecutive time and the other two changes are your 3x3 to get rid of all the old fluid in there that may be old, contaminated or just non-honda brand.

Hello , , 2006 TL base , trany randomly ( once a week) will slip into N at stop light , then it re-engages , , is this a common failure or is it a simple shift solenoid.
other than that it shifts strong and has no noise i replaced fluid twice w/ OEM Honda fluid when purchased 2 mnths ago PLEASE HELP!!

thanks in Advance
