2006 Tl Base , 173,000 , transmission is lets say tired , now i live in Colorado , Am i better off buying a rebuilt trans , or having OE rebuilt ,
Ive been bent over the trany table before and i swore i would never let it happen again please help
1. Avg price of a rebuilt 2006 trans ??

IDK about anything in Denver, but I can tell you to get a used transmission from a 2006 or 2007 Accord V6 with BAYA stamped on it!

Scource one and find a shop to throw it in!

Problem permanently fixed!

Really... No clue... Guessing between $600-$1200 for the transmission.

Probably $2500 installed.

The BAYA trans on my 07 Accord V6 had torque converter clutch slip at around 275K miles. I got it rebuilt. I paid $2300, which included the rear main seal change. I recommend you not putting in a junk yard unit or a rebuild without the Translab Shift kit. The Translab kit fixes the valve body issue that causes the torque converter to overheat. I now run a B&M external trans cooler also.

Which B&M cooler did you go with? Did you install it yourself? If so how difficult is the install ? Thanks

I run B&M 70264 external cooler for over 100k miles now. The most difficult part of the installation is taking the existing hose off between and in and outlet of the trans. I had to use a remote hose clamp pliers. You also need to relocate one of the horns. Get yourself an extra 3' section of trans cooler hose from auto zone also.

When you say outlet do you mean by the oil Warner on top? Do you by any chance have a picture of the install ? Thanks

I am sending you a private message so you don't hijack OP's original question.

Auto trans clutch slippage doesn't show any codes. I had 0 code when the torque converter clutch was slipping. It is the mechanical function of the trans internals.
