With the '97 I altered the angle of an 'arm' the has felt on the tip. It has (so far) kept the windows quite steady.

This is just a suggestion, so please don't
me.
Have you tried shutting the door gently? You're probably used to shutting door with all the windows closed. Since the door is rather large, you have to displace quite a bit of air. Since the car is sealed rather well, you have to apply quite a bit of force to get the door to shut. Ergo, you get used to "slamming" the door pretty hard.
With the windows open even a little bit, the interior air has some place to go, so closing the door with your customary force is unnecessary.
Just a thought.

You can tell you live in America, looking for a solution when there is really no TRUE problem. LOL!
Hmmm.. for people with KP Technologies auto window up module, your statement is ridiculous. There is a reason I close my door with the windows down: it's because I can. Then I can roll them up and set my alarm all at the same time.

Or maybe you can tell I'm a guy? We like to fix things, its an inherent flaw.
The goal is to avoid embarrassing situations where your guests hear the el cheapo noise coming from your luxury car.
/edit. and like datmann said, I do have the kp module. I often open everything and the easiest way for me to close it all is with the auto close.

If you guys think the TL is bad, you should have heard the door closing on my 2000 WS-6 Trans Am, it sounded like the door was gonna fall off, even with the window up all the way, but especially when it was down. I think it took about 3 seconds for everything in those big ass doors to stop rattling and klanking.
It could be worse, you could be driving a pinto

This bugs the shit out of me too... I swear that the window sounds like its going to break when I close it and the window is not completely closed. Has anyone actually screwed the window up closing the door???

Which Accords did you own? My 94 EX, 97 EX, 98 EX, 99 EX V6 (just traded for my TL) all did it...and I hated it. I hoped the TL wouldn't do it...it does. Now I close it with the windows up then use the fob to open them and amuse myself...problem solved!

and
2002 ex-l auto 4 door
i think most of the car windows rattle when closing if they are partially open.
it's just that 3G TL's rattle a lot more than the others.
i notice that issue fairly quick after i bought the car and took it to the dealership and they pretended like they've never seen something like that with TL b4.
they worked on it and ... surprise, surprise, still rattles.
so i just try not to slam the door hard and keep the windows rolled up, especially if i have guests.
Yes, rattles and sqeaks here and there, but, i still LOVE my car, it was the best value when i bought it and still is, it seems. it also has one of the best looking int. and one of the most classic ext that will stay in style for yrs to come and performs pretty good, what more can i ask for? Bottomline, Pro's > Con's.
Im sure a lot of members share my thought.

I think Acura and Nissan might be sharing the same parts vendor. My 03 Nissan Maxima also rattles at the same spot (the only rattle BTW) when the door closes with the window half way down. I just cannot believe how QC has decreased when technology has increased. This was never a problem with my (our) older cars!!
I agree with all the rattle problems, and i fixed all of them. How?
I bought about 700 dollars worth of sound deadening material, did the whole door, inside the door itself, outside skin (metal facing inside the car) and the door panel, did the floor, the entire trunk area, and now i hear no rattles
nor do i hear road noise lol! So there is a easy fix!

yeah i agree! instead of dynamat (which would have easily costed me about 1k for the same amount) i used eDead, from Elemental Designs. Used their V1se^2 with V3 over it, with V4 over that on some areas, mostly the doors. so yeah, you hit my door, or trunk with a fist, it sounds like a solid oak wood door. It added a few pounds, but i dont care, teh TL has mroe than x2 the HP of my old car, so it doesnt bother me.
