My take on this is that you also have to consider how long is the loan as well ... 20 yrs-loan with monthly payment of $280 is a lot too ... okay okay I'm a bit extreme here but you get my point right ?

How much did you finance? For how many months? What's your APR?

I pay right at $300 a month I believe. Financed for 5 years, but I pay more than $300 a month when I can so it doesn't take the full 5 years. Plus I've had the TL for 2 years already and I don't owe too much more.

What's your monthly income? is $280 more than half or is it 10%? If you bring home $3,000 a month, then $280 should not be ablot. Can you afford $280, and still have money for other bills if you have any, as well as spending money and money to save?

Don't forget to calculate insurance and gas costs as well as maintenance. Plan on tacking on $150 to whatever your car payment is. If you can't afford it, you should hold off until your finances are in order.

That depends on how much you financed. Because that will tell us what your interest rate is. And that is what will allow us to judge whether or not that payment is low or not.

^ that equals 10,080...

$9,300 @ 3% APR = $10,100

LOL, and most people that don't have think its overrated.

Dude..this question is personal. Why will you want people know your financial business.

Is $280 a lot.... well are you going to be broke after you pay for the car...if yes then it's too much, if it's pocket change then no.

Worry about what you can afford, like others have said.. .way to many variable when determining this.

^ Wow what a pointless thread we have. The funniest thing was the 5" penis reference which would be stellar for a chipmunk and bad for a elephant.

How about the obvious questions: How much are you paying for the car and what is the condition of it? That should confirm weather you're getting screwed or not. I'm also wondering if there's a balloon payment due on it at the end of the term because something sounds wrong even factoring ZERO percent interest which I'm sure is not the case here.
