Weird Issue - Immobilizer in Key?

I have a 2014 RLX Advance with over 200k miles. Encountered something weird yesterday - went into the store and when I came out, popped the trunk with my hand. Clicked the unlock button on the fob - nothing. Multiple times, nothing would unlock. Luckily I have the remote start fob and the unlock button on that fob unlocked the car. Got in, car started as normal, drove home. Go to turn car off by pressing the stop/start button and it flashes green at me three times but does not turn off. Only after pressing the button a second time does it turn off.

I immediately restarted the car - no issue, no dashboard warning lights including the immobilizer light (green key) show up, indicating an issue. No warning on the MID that the battery in the fob is low. Go to turn the car off, same thing - blinks green three times and have to press a second time to get it to turn off. Started right up again, and again had to press the button twice to get it to turn off.

I took the key part out of the fob and blew on it (yes, I grew up in the Nintendo generation) and reinserted it into the fob and it didn't happen again after I tried it a few more times (shut off the first time I pressed the button).

I've scoured the internet and the manual about what a flashing green light on the start/stop button means but can't find anything. The only thing I have seen is if it flashes when the car is off and won't start - nothing about what it means if it flashes when the car is on and you're trying to turn it off. Has anyone seen this behavior?
