They are the same part number as the 2016's......
There is also only two colors available for the 4-door illuminated sills:
Premium Black: 08E12-TY2-210A (color code NH690L)
Light Orchid: 08E12-TY2-230 (color code YR422L)
Sorry but i cant find any other info on this.
I will call the parts manager tomorrow to verify.

After a little more research (and forgive me if you already know this), i believe this is the correct part number for the 4-door illuminated door sills for your SH:
Light Jewel Gray: 08E12-TY2-220A (color code NH802L). List price: $759
I believe the same part number without the "A" at the end is for the 2-door illuminated sills, and the ones with the "A" at the end is for the 4-door illuminated sills.
List price for the part numbers without the "A" at the end is $360.
Acura OEM Part Number 08E12-TY2-220A | TRIM, DR SILL, ILLUM

Torch & Pitchfork Posse
^^^ Yes pgeorge, I am aware. There are 2 or 3 vendors who list them for the 4 dr graystone / quartz, but none can verify they actually exist. I think it was planned, and for some reason not fulfilled. I was hoping they were online by the 2017 MY - but with DOZENS or RLXs selling, it may not have been worth it. I have written to several parts vendors and the best I could get was "order them and we will find out when they arrive". <br /><br />The Acura Accessories site do not list them, and customer service say they do not exist. Just very odd. And frankly the cost is silly as I already have them installed (with black trim pieces). Since all the wiring is already done and in place, I am hoping I can just pop off the sills and swap the aluminum inserts. I'd have to get motivated AND bank up some patience.

Won't have my car back for a while, it sounds.
Lots of parts on order, and lots of consulting going on.

I figured as much George.....
I think Honda will take this opportunity to really examine what is going on, so they know if its necessary for this to be done in the future.
You just happened to be the lucky one :-)
Enjoy the TLX......

Got the car back today. Drives better than new so far, put about 60 miles on it.

I have the subjective feeling that the car is staying on ICE a little more, and staying on all six cylinders a little more.
But I still got 31.5 mpg on this drive...so maybe it's my imagination.
Car's definitely back to its old peppy self.
Both Karen Radley Acura and American Honda went to a lot of trouble for this, and I really appreciate it.
I wonder what causes the problem to develop.

Thanks for the update George, and i am really happy you are satisfied with the results!
One question: Do you think this change is only from the updated hardware, or from some kind of software update also?
In any case this is great news for all of us!

You asked what I think, and I'm not sure what to think. :-) They did a hell of a lot.
If you search the Web for DI J Motor VCM rocker arm issues, you'll find that it crosses a wide variety of motors, and different reasons are given for the failure.
If it's noticed early enough, apparently with some of the 290 HP motors that end up in Accords and Odysseys, you just have to change the way some bolts are torqued, and that solves the whole problem.
With the 310 HP motor in the KC2, it's apparently a little more complicated an issue when it happens.
To be honest...the 290 HP DI J Motor in the TLX that I was driving as a loaner had a version of the issue. But in that case they said that was about the best that motor was going to do, and I could tell when the car was on 3 cylinders, pretty easily. In 7th and 8th gears, there would be moments of hesitation as the car decided how many cylinders it wanted to be using, and this would sometimes cause the transmission to change gears, which in turn could cause the car to determine yet again how many cylinders it wanted to be using, which then might cause a hunt for a gear....
So you end up changing your speed by 5 mph, up or down, to give the car a break. :-)
I have to say, though, that I've been told too many times that I notice things that other people just don't care about and couldn't notice even after you tell them what's going on.

There's not that many ways through there safely, your speed has to be right, and you'd better have either perfect ABS, or know perfectly how to handle trail braking at threshold.
