So does anyone have a noise concern with the rails and cross bars within the rdx 2020 ro 2021??? I just have my sunroof replaced and now i hear the whistle wow.The noise happens around 24-42 miles per hour like the sunroof is open.
Anyone resolve that concern??

 

sounds like the sunroof install is missing something...like a wind deflector.
I would go back to whoever installed the sunroof

 

well i did go back to acura dealer and also have ahmc involved they wont fix it. So i sent notice of defect letter to acura, also had field tech out as well. So now the dealer wont fix anything on the car which is totally stupid.

 

One of the major rattle points I found was the wind deflector. I removed it since I never open the thing. Does yours still have it, or did the dealer remove it without telling you?

 

We did remove it and still present we also replaced the whole frame and have a clicking noise the field tech never heard anything at all. So I have a clicking noise when I close it on the right side of the sunroof area . Since I filed notice of defective letter now the dealership won’t fix anything wow yoy would think they would not want to buy the car back

 

for me; I would tackle these problems on my own by adding dampening material for the rattling and add back the wind deflector.
But I understand that you bought a $XX,XXX amount vehicle and want that done for you.

 

I had the clicking noise from the frame as well. I used 3-in-One Silicone lubricant liberally around the frame and rubber contact points and it's been 99% click free for a couple months now. Somebody else tried and they didn't have the same success unfortunately, but you might want to give it a try. I literally stuck the nozzle past the rubber seal and squirted it down there. I put enough in there that while driving around, was coming up and getting on the glass and paint. It came off easily with a car wash though (I waited a week before washing it).

 

oh yeah, I forgot about the magic shitzu grease

 

Stuff is great. It cured my hemorrhoids ...

 

read another thread where you recommended the cheaper shitzu juice.

When I re-up, i'd likely get the cheaper brand than the honda version.

 

so finally after weeks and weeks fighting with the dealership to replace the correct parts after filing the notice of defect several times etc and getting a lawyer involved they realized they have a very large problem.
So they are changing all the parts from the frame all the way down to the motors that are making noise keep fighting people with ahmc all the time make ur case and the case numbers ..

 

Did someone say that its even excluded from extended warranty that Acura sells? Thats crazy!
