Drivers Side HVAC Vent
Drivers Side HVAC Vent
Have had my A-Spec for about 2 weeks now and noticed that when fully opened for either heating or cooling, the left side drivers vent only blows about half the strength as the other 3 front seat vents. It's almost as if the vent adjustment is halfway closed. Has anyone else had an issue like this, getting ready to take it in to get it looked at.
My A/C doesn't feel cold, even on the lowest degree. Also the ventilated seats do absolutely nothing. The A/C in my Lexus NX was very cold and you could feel the cool air through the ventilated seats. I'm wondering if it's another issue I need to address next visit.
I feel the same way. I would have it on the lowest temperature and blast to the highest level on my way home from work and it doesn't get that cold. My 2008 accord seems much colder.
I checked mine and interesting enough, compare withe the two center vents, both driver left side and passenger right side vents air flow is about 1/3 less, but at least it does blow cold air with A/C on.
For the vent seats, yeah, they do work, as you can hear the fan blowing and feel faint air coming out of the cushion and lower seat back. I am sure if you wear thick clothing, you would not be able to feel it. Some members already commented that the seats should have A/C as well.

We're having the same AC issue. This car can't keep up with the Texas heat. My wife first reported it to me as it's her car. I took it out for a drive, and very little flow form the drivers side vent. I have to keep the thermostat at 65 or less to get even close to comfortable. I know that temp is really just a number and will feel different from vehicle to vehicle due to many variables, but this car is abnormally hot. Is it because it's only a four cylinder and therefor maybe a smaller compressor/blower? I've only had 6's and 8's for many years. My Chevy truck and her old Murano, can turn into a meat locker even on a 100 degree day. This may be the final straw with this car. A shame because it's great driver, very fun, and for an SUV it looks ok. In 2019, there's no excuse for weak AC in an automobile.

My Lexus NX would get very cold. I always left it around 70. Even on the lowest setting my RDX doesn't get cold. I was actually sweating the other day my whole ride home as it never got cold, just moderately cool. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my AC or if its just like that. Also the ventilated seats are completely useless. Again, in other cars I can feel the cool air.
Have those of you with issues had your dealer's service dept. check it out? We have a 2001 CL with excellent A/C and the RDX's A/C is as good or better than the CL.
Heating the feet is useless as well, as only a trickle of air comes out from under the dash. I don't think Acura is nearly ready to try and compete against the German's and Swede's here....way out of their league
Agreed, even on the lowest (cold) setting , the A/C is terrible in the RDX. The heated seats are pretty bad as well...they might get "warm" but nothing like the Honda's, MINI, Audi cars I have had in the past. I never expect much from the ventilated seats, so no surprise there. I think Acura took every iota of energy and put it in the engine to beat the Q5 to sixty by 1/10 of a second, and has nothing left...

Ha, that is funny. I have owned 4 acura's previously, and they were great, wonderful cars ('89 LS, GSR, 2x MDX's). trouble free to 100k, my two month old SH AWD ADVANCE is riddled with problems, and returning it to the dealer has been fruitless. FWIW, the last 4 of my VIN is 3617 if you want to reseach
