USB folder / songs - "back" button does not return screen to the associated folder...
Hi,
I've noticed an annoyng issue: when I press a "back" button on the touch pad to return to the folder containing a current song, the screen skips the previous folder page and goes directly to the main USB page. So I have to scroll again through all the folders to get to the one I just picked. Anybody has the same issue?
thanks.

Yes. It's a royal pain in the butt. Especially while your driving. So many extra steps you have to do to go back.
This should really be fixed.

While the sound is great, the interface has a LOT of holes in it. You should be able to easily get back to the previous screen when playing a folder or album by hitting the back/return button instead of being dumped back to the Main Menu of the infotainment system.
And as Meto says above, you never know what the next song will be, or where it will come from, if you restart the car or select a different tune to listen to. There is no rhyme or reason but it seems to just default to alphabetical order of the entire drive's song list, which is annoying.
Hopefully they will refine this stuff and we'll all be posting "Remember when ......"

Heres what i do when I play songs from a particular folder. I press the "music library" -> "folder". Find the folder I want and press the "play" button beside the folder to play all the songs in that folder.
And then in the main USB screen, I press on the really big area displaying the current song info. It's the area beside the "music library" button. It will display the current play list which should be all the songs in the folder. From there you can skip to any songs you want without changing the playlist(ie. Current folder).
Regarding the stopping and starting the car, yes, I find it annoying too that it doesn't remember the last playlist. It seems to remember the last played song, but the playlist is everything on my USB stick. . It's a real pita to browse and switch to playing another folder again.

I have quit listening to USB sources since it seems that I am going to get that fricken error beep sometime within every album I play. I hate that. Very disappointed with how this system handles USB sources... as if it's just an afterthought.

I agree with you on this.. Do they have old men working on technology now for new vehicles? The RDX should have had at least separate USB ports for Android Auto/Carplay connectivity and USB Audio and they should have been USB 3.1. Loading a 128GB USB Drive full of music is torture in this vehicle. There is no caching feature and no database that at least keeps up to date to speed up the loading process. The manufacturers of the head units like Pioneer and Kenwood get it... Why can't these car manufacturers?
