Hey everyone,

I got the new iPhone 13 Pro Max this week and my 2012 Rdx cannot identify it, nor can my iPhone find the Handsfreelink bluetooth signal from the car. Had no problems with my iPhone 12.
Dealer service says its because they haven’t updated the software. Anyone have any thoughts?

After this, I went out and got my 2021 RDX and am having the same issue. The phone doesn’t see the vehicle and the vehicle doesn’t see the phone.

 

Some setting is disabled likely, for security reasons.

 

I was able to get the 13 paired to the 2021. Who knows with the 2012.

yeah, but it’s weird. The 13 can see the Bluetooth signal coming from my Hondata Flashpro device. It couldn’t connect to it. But it showed as an available device.

 

i just got a iPhone 13. The bt connection to the car was fine. The thing that is not working is amazon music with iOS 15. It did not recognize the Amazon app within CarPlay most of the time.
there are reports out there.
You should try another car. Could be the iOS , phone, unlikely the car.

 

Interesting: I have the VOX app for my FLAC music and it played in my system with CarPlay….but I am not getting the same fidelity as with the FLAC music on a flash drive. I am running 15.2 iOS.

 

thats the thing PD, the usb can deliver higher fidelity than the phone.... at least you could hear the difference! thats a good thing! lol
