Turbo Intake Sound
Hello All!
This is my second Turbo vehicle (also currently have a supercharged car) I have owned. My first was a 1995 Eagle Talon TSI. One of my first modifications was to put an open element air cleaner on it and hearing the turbo was so much fun.
I would love to hear some turbo noise in the RDX, but cannot seem to find anything about anybody putting different intakes on and if that resulted in turbo sound.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

With the Talon, all it took was the open element air intake. The blow-off valve still dumped back to the intake of the turbo, which is good, as the mass air sensor has already accounted for that air.
But the Talon had a very short intake and this RDX has a super long air intake, so that might kill off the intake sound, I am thinking.

The inconvenient truth
Ask injen to make your car an intake. Their intakes sound awesome!

Had a 1986 Mazda RXTurbo which was not much in the exhaust department (Wankel Rotary engine) but wow that turbo sounds made up for that. I really had fun with that RX. The bummer was I had a flat while doing about 100mph and destroyed the tire. It had Goodyear Gatorbacks that were just released so ONE replacement tire was $300.00 and change (ouch) as well as being very difficult to find especially in 1986.
Forgot to add that in those days no such thing as TPMS or any other sensors as in the present day.
