Tailgate not closing

Recently I found that the tailgate was beeping and not closing when I pressed the buttom. You had to pull the tailgate up and down for several times to make it work. And sometimes it wouldnt open either. Had my dealer do the inspection but they found nothing going wrong. Computer got reset...doesnt help at all. Then I was told to go to the body shop.
Anyone has any idea at this time why is this happening? I will see body shop tomorrow. Hopefully they can fix it.

They're punting you over to a body shop? Isn't the car in warranty? Shouldn't they take it to the body shop and give you a loaner?

Try having it re-learn height.

Then, as NYer said, tell them to fix it under warranty and give you a loaner.

well, they believed they’ve fixed it after resetting the computer, and suggested me to double check at body shop. The problem didnt appear until i came back home...so I went to body shop today, the tech guessed it was something wrong with the motor.

Was it involved in a car accident ? Why would they have you go to a body shop?

Tell them to fix it, and you’ll pick it up once it works without issues, that’s not a body shop problem

Going to a body shop is just to prove that its not a body shop problem. They will agrue about it forever unless you actually go there. The problem is, that issue happens occasionally. I tried some many times at the dealer and it seemed to work well. I honestly thought the it was fixed until it failed again when I came home. But yeah, I told the service today to fix it no matter how
