NAV System Update - Dynamic Zoom?

Driving this afternoon, when using the NAV for directions, I set the zoom to 1/2 mile as I typically do when starting out. When I approached the first designated turn and slowed to make the turn, the display screen zoomed in tighter to show more street detail as I slowed, then zoomed back out to 1/2 mile when I got back up to my previous speed. Has Acura slipstreamed an update that I didn't notice (had to be Sunday or Monday), or have I just managed to change some mystery setting that allows this behavior? I don't find any version numbers different than before (D.1.1.2). Nice feature, almost like a real NAV system is expected to behave. Now, if I could just get her to stop with the multiple "Join the highway" directives when going up the on-ramps I wouldn't yearn so much for my 15 year old Garmin.

Maybe you didn’t notice it before?

I don’t think anything has changed since 1.1.2.

I find myself using the Nav more than expected, and using Waze and Google less. If I am on a serious road trip, it is Waze and GM, otherwise, I am using Acura. I also think the traffic info is slowly improving as more cars with HERE are on the road. In February, in Naples FL, with all the newer BMWs, MBs, etc., the traffic info was very good. Now it is getting better around where I live.

Yes it auto zooms in now when on city streets it should be at 500 ft and then highway it’s back to 1/8 I believe.

I keep it @ 1/2 but the zoom automatically only does it sometimes. I can't pin point when it does it since it is not consistent. Anyone have this issue?
