Question Remove plastic cover under glovebox?

As many know my never-ending battle with rattles, today I went and tackled the one seemingly coming from the passenger side dash. I originally thought it was coming from the vent area by the windshield, but knocking around, it seems to be actually coming from underneath the passenger side dash, underneath the glovebox area. There's a thing plastic cover underneath that hides electrical bits. It's flimsy with some white sound deadening. I don't want to yank on it and break it, but I also don't see any external clips/hardware to remove it. Does anyone know or have a possible write up (service manual) of how to access that area or remove the plastic cover? I'm assuming a good tug will do it, but again, I'd rather not break something if that's not the proper method.

The only access panel in the glovebox that I know of is for the cabin air filter.

The cabin air filter is actually inside the glove compartment.

No no no ... under the glovebox. There's a plastic "tray" under the glovebox area in the footwell.

Check the service bulletins thread; the PDF files may have take-apart diagrams for the dashboard.

Great call on this!

This TSB shows how to remove the entire dash. The undercover I was referring to is on Repair Step #7, Page 3/8. It's just plastic clips that hold it in place for future posterity.

If you happen to remove the cover for it in the process, could you post pictures of the connectors on the two modules for the infotainment system please? They're in the middle under the center island behind the cover panel that's above the AUX and DC sockets. I'm trying to figure out if the system can be modded to add a USB 3.0 or USB-C port.
