Bouncy Suspension
Bouncy Suspension
I recently put a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zero Plus on my 2019 RDX. Since then, i've noticed it sometimes feels bouncy, even though the road looks perfectly flat. I don't think it's a balancing issue, since I feel no vibration in steering wheel. I've taken it to Acura, but they couldn't find anything wrong. Has anyone experienced something similar? Thanks!
Then you answered yourself, it is from the tires. Try changing tire pressure by 1-2psi to see if the ride quality improves. The tires are higher-performance so it is reasonable that ride quality is stiffer than oem. If things don't work out eventually, maybe consider exchanging to Scropion Verdes AS series before the 30-day trial ends?

I initially got the Scorpion Verdes AS but they were even worse, so went with the zeros. I was expecting a rougher ride, but the bounciness I did not. I guess i'm lacking the experience, as I cannot understand how on what seems a perfectly smooth highway the ride is not perfect. I'll have to live with the Pirellis until the next set.
If the tires were not road forced when installed, which is an additional charge as it is more involved, the tires may not be perfectly round and are causing the sensation you describe. If you are going to keep the tires I'd suggest calling a tire shop like Discount Tire and having it performed to see if it rides better. They can give you the before and after info as well, which a good number is below 10 and anything over about a 25 can cause odd things like this.
